It was filed right after the sinking
So the diamond had to have gone down with the ship
17600:15:54,500 --> 00:15:55,900看到日期没有?You see the date?
Which means if your grandmother is who she says she is
17900:16:01,860 --> 00:16:05,060泰坦尼克沉没时她就戴着那条项链she was wearing the diamond the day the Titanic sank
And that makes you my new best friend 18100:16:08,820 --> 00:16:12,130这是从船上找到的These are some of the things we recovered from your stateroom
18200:16:14,340 --> 00:16:15,740这是我的This was mine
How extraordinary!
And it looks the same as it did the last time I saw it
18500:16:28,620 --> 00:16:30,850我倒是变了一点The reflection has changed a bit
Are you ready to go back to Titanic?
Here we go.She hits the 'berg on the starboard side
She kind of bumps along, punching holes like Morse code along the side
18900:17:01,340 --> 00:17:02,860很大的洞below the water line
Then the forward compartments start to flood
Now, as the water level rises, it spills over the watertight bulkheads
19200:17:09,020 --> 00:17:12,060因为隔板最高只到E层which, unfortunately, don't go any higher than E deck 19300:17:12,140 --> 00:17:16,290船首下沉船尾就翅起速度由慢变快So now, as the bow goes down, the stern rises up, slow at first
19400:17:16,380 --> 00:17:20,770越来越快到最后整个船尾朝着天空then faster and faster, until finally, she's got her whole ass sticking in the air
19500:17:20,860 --> 00:17:24,250船尾重达二三万吨And that's a big ass We're talking 20,000, 30,000 tons 19600:17:24,620 --> 00:17:27,180船身承受不了Okay? And the hull's not designed to deal with that pressure 19700:17:27,260 --> 00:17:30,780结果船身从中间裂开So what happens? She splits, right down to the keel
19800:17:31,180 --> 00:17:33,380船尾掉回海面and the stern falls back level
Then as the bow sinks, it pulls the stern vertical and then finally detaches
Now the stern section kind of bobs there like a cork for a couple of minutes
20100:17:44,060 --> 00:17:46,660在凌晨两点二十分沉没floods, and finally goes under about 2:20 a M 20200:17:46,740 --> 00:17:49,540离出事两小时四十分钟后two hours and 40 minutes after the collision 20300:17:50,380 --> 00:17:54,260船的前半部往前滑在半里之外The bow section planes away, landing about a half a mile away
20400:17:54,340 --> 00:17:57,250以二三十里时速着地going 20, 30 knots when it hits the ocean floor 20500:18:00,700 --> 00:18:02,060很酷吧?Pretty cool, huh?
Thank you for that fine forensic analysis, Mr

After the appreciation of the film “Titanic”,I have noticed some meaningful details behind the peoples' general impression of simply an affectional film. The wreck of the Titanic occurred in 1912, in which the great recession started from the end of the 19th Century still hasn't ended. Most critics pointed out that the sinking of the Titanic represents the collapse of the Capitalism in the end of the 19th Century. However, I would like to say that, in this movie, the director had not only foreran the crisis of the Capitalism, but also showed some of the human nature, from both gloomy and brilliant aspects, like selfish, mammonish, vainglorious, and love, hope, bravery, faith, and so on. In this essay, I will first reveal this film's indication of the social context of that age, then I will analyse the two contrary aspects of human nature indicated in this film through some impressive shots. Under the development of industrial technology, the economy in the Capitalism countries took off. People lived a rich, luxury and expensive life, and this rapid economic development lasted for almost 20 years. People had got used to this kind of life. The huge development in machinery changed people's life greatly. Innovations of transportation, such as vehicles and tankers, allowed people to travel around. The appearance of these modern transportations was an important milestone of the industrialization. People thus became very confident on human intellectual capabilities. They believed their power of conquering the nature is inapproachable. While the Titanic is also called “The Ship of Dreamers”,in this film, when it bearing in with the ocean in the darkness, the mysterious ocean represents the unknown nature and the ship itself represents the advanced material capabilities people owned. In a shot that Mr Bruce explains his design of the Titanic, he said “the ship possesses huge size, stability, luxury, and strength”,and that“ the supremacy will never be challenged”。In fact, all these words can be thought of the symbols of the Capitalism of that time in many people's eyes. They thought the Capitalism

When the ship the Titanic was designed for the White Star Shipping Co mpany, everyone was very excited. It was going to be the biggest, the heaviest, most luxurious passenger ship ever! Even its name makes yo u think of great size and strength. ‘Titanic’ means very very stron g and powerful. On 10 April 1912, the Titanic set off on its first voyage across the Atlantic to America. As the Titanic sailed west, warnings of icebergs were sent to the ship, but didn’t reach the bridge. So the Titanic was travelling at almost top speed when it hit an iceberg. It sank tw o hours and forty minutes later. There were 2,223 people on board and 1,517died. Asplund, who was just five years old at th e time, lost her father and three brothers in the tragedy. One of the most famous stories is of the band. On 15 April, the Titan ic’s eight-member band, led by Wallace Hartley, had tried to keep pa ssengers calm and upbeat. The band continued playing music even when it became clear that the ship was going to sink. None of the band mem bers survived the sinking. Hartley was considered a hero, and his fun eral in England was attended by thousands. The sinking of the Titanic has been the subject of many books, films and even songs. The 1997 movie Titanic brought the story back again a nd the song in the movie My Heart Will Go On is still very popular to day. Exercises: 1. 泰坦尼克号观后感英文 "Do you believe in love?" When a stranger into an acquaintance, sometimes I will ask him. If he says: don't believe. I will not alert. A person, even the love doesn't believe that his heart would not soft, not light, he will only believe in money, power, also will not believe friendship. He probably has a breakup would think so, so he must be very pessimistic: see a leaf, suspected that the whole forest withered. He may think about whether to believe in love a little bit silly, then his life will not love. "Do you believe in love at first sight?" When an acquaintance into a friend, I might ask him. If he says: don't believe. I feel a bit disappointed. A person, even love at first sight do not believe that his heart would not romantic, even dreamed of have no ability. What is
