For this Father’s Day, many children bought ties, socks or golf balls, but my present had to be the best. After spending several days shopping, my search for the best 31 came to an old plane. It was one Father’s Day that my dad and I would never forget.

My Teacher

During my school life, I have come across several teachers. None has impressed me so much as our English teacher, Mr. Leo. He has been teaching me English for the last two years. He is a very lovable person, soft-spoken and good-mannered. He is not big in his shape but it is very well made up by his talents and ability. He always comes, neatly dressed, and bears a confident look. Naturally, everyone respects him.

It is a pleasure to listen to him when he teaches English, no matter it is prose (散文) or poetry (诗歌). He always uses very simple words in his class so that even an average student could follow him. He would never go on further until everyone can understand him. When he finds somebody has difficulty, he will spare no pains to help.

Born a poetry lover, Mr. Leo teaches poetry with passion. He has a way to get into the spirit of the poet, he always carries the whole class with him in the enjoyment of the poem. Whether it is “Oh! That’s right. With the help of the group Stand Up

Kids, Vallecito Elementary School in California

became the first in the United States to replace all

sitting desks with standing desks. These standing desks

have wheels and fidget bars. Wheels allow the desks to be moved easily. The bars let kids move in a way that doesn’t interrupt the class. Kids can change the desks to different heights. If tired, they can take breaks by sitting on the floor.

“Vallecito is now the first all-standing school,” said Juliet Starrett, who started the group Stand Up Kids. Her goal is to have every U.S. public school kid using a standing desk within the next 10 years.

Tracy Smith, principal of Vallecito Elementary School, is “100 percent behind it”when she talks about using standing desks. While students were tired from standing all day at first, Smith said within a few months, they were more focused, confident and productive. Studies also show that allowing kids to stand more during the day can improve their grades up to 15 percent.

In a 2014 public meeting, Jason McCann, President of Gemmy Industries, said, “Indeed,some famous writers, such as Charles Dickens and Ernest Hemingway, all worked at their own standing desks, which says something about creativity.”

Standing desks are also a great way to solve overweight problems among students. According to The American Journal of Public Health, kids using standing desks in a classroom can burn 17 percent more calories than those who use sitting desks.

But not everyone is sure that standing is better than sitting. Some parents and teachers worry that kids will get tired and that standing for long periods of time may be harmful. And standing desks are much more expensive nowadays.

Have you ever thought about your future and said something like, “I don’t mind if I’m never rich and famous as long as I’m happy”? Some of us want to feel good about ourselves first; some believe that self-esteem comes from reaching goals. In fact, a good sense of self-esteem is an important part of motivation; unhappy teenagers are unlikely to want success or even believe they can be successful. Research suggests that motivation to achieve comes from self-esteem, rather than self-esteem coming from achievement.

Experts have looked at whether reaching goals builds up a sense of self-worth. If this were the case, then the most successful people should also be the happiest. In fact, they found that self-esteem based on achievements tends to be more fragile (脆弱的). People who base their sense of self-worth on what they have achieved need more comfort and compare themselves more with others. Those who learn that their worth comes from what they have done, rather than who they are, will be more likely to develop into uncertain people.

Much ongoing research into motivation suggests that human beings are naturally motivated to explore and develop, but that natural drive can be influenced by factors (因素) such as family, society, and culture.

Three factors influence an individual’s level of motivation: competence, autonomy, and relatedness. Competence is the drive to feel able and successful. Autonomy means being able to “be ourselves”.Relatedness is the human need to communicate with others and form relationships.

When we are praised for having done well, our need for competence is met. When we are given responsibility—a chance to feel in control, we build esteem and our need for autonomy is met. When we feel we are loved for who we are, not for what we do, we develop a strong sense of self-worth and our need for relatedness is met. People who meet their needs for competence, autonomy, and relatedness will feel good about themselves, and will then get motivation to develop, grow, and succeed.

九年级英语第一次模拟考试试卷分析 一、学生得分的基本情况九年级一班共有34名学生,最高得分为109分,最低得分22分,及格人数为15人,优生人数为7人,5070之间的学生较多,这些学生的潜力还很大,通过进一步的努力达到及格分应该没有大问题,3050之间的学生由于基础太差,只能慢慢的提高,他们几乎都没有什么学习兴趣。这在以后的教学中还要积极努力。 二、试题分析1本次试题分为听力和笔试两大部分。听力五个大题,15个小题,共30分。前四题25分,单选每个一分,学生很容易选出相应的答案,得分较高,第五题为填单词题,错误的较多,今后还需加强听力的练习。 2笔试部分学生得分最多题目是单项选择和完形填空,单项选择20小题有4个错误率比较高,其他的不少题目比较简单。完形填空学生几乎都感觉出本段文章的熟悉度很高,心里恐惧度大大减低,做题自信心大大增强,几乎有60-70%的学生得分及格以上,但满分的几乎没有。 3三段阅读短文都不简单,都不是一眼能看出答案的文章,学生失分最严重,30分仅仅得到 8、 10、12分离及格还差的很远。任务型阅读学生还能摸索出两三句的答案,基本还勉强及格,词语运用一题,5分,学生得0

分的很多,分值虽不大,可学生对这类题目真是很头疼,就是找不到解题的思路。 4作文写的是假期计划问题,必须审题,人称,时态,句子结构,都要仔细考虑,根据学生的写作结果分析,能写成英文句子的不足5人,能按要求写出句子的8人左右,老师的压力很大。还需继续加强练习。 三、失分原因。 1、基础知识这方面不够牢固,运用不够准确,灵活性较差。这在听短文填空和词汇题中体现了出来。 2、基本语法概念模糊。在单项选择中体现了这一点。 3、学生的知识面狭窄,句子的基本结构把握不好,语言的综合运用能力不强。 4、学生平时做的题型少,比如说阅读理解和补全对话,学生在平时几乎没做过这方面的练习。 四、今后的工作措施 1、加强师生情感的培养。学生的学习热情,在一定的意义上取决于老师,如果老师与学生的关系相处得融洽,那么学生就对你教的学科感兴趣,对你的学科感兴趣就有可能把你所教的学科学好。 2、加大学生完词填空的训练,新的题型要经过训练学生才能掌握,否则很难得分。

九年级模拟考试英语试卷分析 一、试卷基本情况分析 本次二模考试是学生中考前最后一次大型考试,试卷按中考试卷题型命题。总分120分,涵盖了听力,单选,完型,阅读和词汇,书面表达六大部分。试卷结构和难度:个人认为试卷注重基础知识、基本技能和综合语言运用能力的考查。试题选材贴近考生、贴近生活,不仅考查学生课内知识的积累,同时也考查学生对课外知识的运用。我认为本次试卷符合中考说明的要求,能够提升学生的综合能力,达到了模拟中考的效果。 二、题型分析及学生答题情况分析: (一)听力题。25道选择和5道短文填空,共30分。听力方面,听力话题以课标和考试说明为依托,材料内容贴近生活实际,试题以获取具体信息为主,体现了英语的开放性和实践性。平时听力训练所听录音语速较慢,因此导致有一部分同学对本次录音语速不太适应,没有获取关键信息。前25道题优生基本全部满分,这凸显出了综合复习的优势。但是听短文填空部分出错较多,集中体现在26题,日期表达中“日”应该用序数词,多数学生写成了基数词,说明知识点还是有盲区。30题put on有些学生只能写出put这说明学生在平时接触口语以及对学生的口语拓展较少,这说明学生对于文段的理解和信息的提炼还有提升空间。 (二)单选题。考点清晰明确符合考试说明题例,比较符合中考的出题思路和难度。共10小题,难度适中出现错误集中在33,38题。

单词词义辨析,时态的用法,出错较多。所以这就要求我们在接下来十天的备考中依然要夯实基础,扫清只是盲点。 (三)完形填空。完形填空我觉得难度适中,通过对父母与孩子的相处模式的描述引出父母和孩子应该怎么相处。本话题易于理解,贴近生活,学生对全文主要意思把握准确,但是个别题目不只是考察句意理解,对于学生来说难度较大,还是因为基础知识不扎实。 (四)阅读理解。 A篇对话形式较为简单,无论是篇章内容还是短文所要传达的寓意都较为简单,学生做的得心应手,增强了学生的信心。B篇经典成语故事,描述了毛遂自荐额全过程,虽然学生对成语故事熟烂于心,但是对于细节把握还是有偏差。56题对that的理解部分学生把握不准,其实是对整个文章整体思路理解不到位。C 篇出错较少,话题贴近生活,易于理解,且主要内容分段展现易于学生精准的找到正确答案。D篇对关于眼睛的三个误解进行了解释,60题标题的选择大部分学生选错,对于文章整体的把握不准确,总结来说还是对于全篇文章的理解有所欠缺,如何在有限的课堂内培养学生的阅读和推理能力仍然需要进一步的探讨。 (五)任务型阅读。66题正确率较高,对于学生来说较简单。67题考察非限定性定语从句,因此只能用which,所以错误率较高。69题中心句把握不准确,70题翻译不难但是学生做的较差,skills 这个单词大部分学生没有翻译出,失分较多。 (六)词语运用。共10小题。10分,在要求学生掌握单词的基础上,能够结合句意语境填出正确形式填空具有很大的综合性,这不
