Not only Olympics

Many people become excited when they speak of Olympic Games. Why? Why are they excited? Their answer is always expected: they are excited because they see their sportsmen fighting for their countries’ glories. Fighting for glories is really inspiring, but is it the most important thing? Is it the purpose of Olympics? When people see their national flags rising in Olympics, they feel proud of their nations and proud for their sportsmen. However, the use of performance-enhancing drugs in Olympics is a shame to the sportsmen’s countries. It is reasonable that every sportsman wants to get the champion, but using such a method is not allowed in Olympics. It is not fair to other sportsmen, because they are all making their effort to fight their glories for their countries.

The 2008 Olympics will be held in Beijing soon which makes me proud of our country. I believe that there will be not such kind of things in 2008 Olympics. The slogan of the 2008 Olympics is “one world one dream”. Yes, it speaks out our thoughts and our expectations as well. China is busy developing and it becomes

stronger and stronger. China hopes to cooperate with other countries and have good relationships with them. They are like the sportsmen who compete with each other. There are no tricks but fairness and justice. Although many events took place before the Olympics come, for example T-BAG claimed to be independent, the disabled sportswoman was attacked when she carried the g Olympic torch in France, I strongly believe, only if we hold the belief and work together, we shall overcome all kinds of difficulties. Our dream will not be just a dream anymore. People can live in a beautiful and wonderful world. The 2008 Olympics is not only a competition, but also a chance for all the countries to have a better understanding of each other. It will lead us to hopes, success and a peaceful world.
