一、听读能力是提高阅读能力的基石

小学生听读能力的培养,应建立在入学的一、二年级,这时对英语这门学科的兴趣浓,再加上教材的独特性以及孩子们的年龄特征,提高他们的听读能力是最好的契机。而学生现在所学的《儿童英语》教材编排也是相当有趣的,它的主线就是以几个小朋友与一个外星小朋友Hello在地球上日常生活中碰到的种种问题进行了一连串看似无关,实则相连的对话、儿歌及歌曲学习,让学生把生硬的英语赋予了鲜活的生命,让学生们乐学、爱学。

有了好的学习兴趣与素材,学生们就能把应学的知识易如反掌的掌握牢固,而我们在低年级开展英语课,并不是简单的说唱,它肩负着为中年段的英语教学输入良好的英语素养的基础。而对于一、二年级的学生,我们需要提高他们的英语阅读能力,他们现在所学的这丁点儿东西与以后的英语阅读能力有很大关联。

任何一种语言都是建立在听的基础上,而低年级英语的最大特点就是让学生先学会听,然后根据所听到的内容进行模仿,而学生在模仿听到东西的过程中其实就是语感的培养。别看小小的一段歌曲,如《Kid’s English》Book Two 的第2面就有一首《Where are you from?》的歌曲,学生先肯定是跟着原声带不停的模仿着唱,到了学生会朗朗上口的时候,有个别的音发得不是很到位,老师给予一一点拨,学生就能完全明白其中的发音,而从这首儿歌中可以联系到三年级要学的句型:Where are you from?虽然教学的要点不一定相同,但是学生在一、二年级通过了趣味的听、唱所培养出来的语感仍然存在的。又如《Kid’s English》Book Two 的第21面,有一首chant,唱的主要是与颜色和动物有关的一些句子,然而这些也都将会在三、四年级英语学习上必定会碰到的单词,而学生经过不停的模仿跟唱之后,就会有印象,而到了三、四年级的英语阅读时就会起到画龙点睛之用。任何一篇阅读都不可能是学生百分百要掌握的大纲内容,但它可能涉及到的却是学生一个连贯的思维,它也有可能来源于学生曾经接触到的一点凤毛麟角的知识点,作为教师的我们应该从一、二年级就开始抓学生的听力,让孩子们在听懂的基础上让其能说,在其能说的基础上让他们理解所说的含义,这就是为后面的三、四年级孩子们的阅读理解奠定了关键的基石。

提高学生英语阅读能力的方法 发表时间:2009-07-10T09:52:17.357Z 来源:《中学课程辅导●教学研究》2009年第5期供稿作者:成振锁 [导读] 本文从几个方面论述了提高学生英语阅读能力的方法。 提高学生英语阅读能力的方法 成振锁 摘要:大量的阅读可以使学生对英语国家的历史、经济、文化、风俗习惯等有所了解,掌握有关的背景知识,为进一步学好英语打下良好的基础。与此同时,大量的阅读会极大地促进学生阅读能力的提高。本文从几个方面论述了提高学生英语阅读能力的方法。 关键词:英语;阅读能力;方法 作者简介:成振锁,任教于河北省藁城市第九中学。 从目前绝大多数学生的阅读能力看,他们的语言应用能力差,阅读速度慢,错误率高。从平时的测试及练习中看,与“词汇”、“语法”项目相比,“阅读理解”明显薄弱。学生惯于“精读”,不习惯泛读,快读。而国内近年来各类考试,“阅读理解”项目在整个测试中所占的比重越来越大,这意味着对阅读能力有了新的要求。完型填空,也要求考生必须通过读原文理解材料大意,然后做出判断,填补空白。这无一不说明阅读的重要。这就要求学生要强化训练,提高阅读能力。 首先,教师应该指导学生进行大量的阅读。大量的阅读可以使学生对英语国家的历史、经济、文化、风俗习惯等有所了解,掌握有关的背景知识,为进一步学好英语打下良好的基础。与此同时,大量的阅读会极大地促进阅读理解能力的提高。下面介绍几种常见的阅读方法: 一、先看题干,带着问题读文章 即先看试题,再读文章。阅读题干,首先要掌握问题的类型,分清是客观信息题还是主观判断题。客观信息题可以从文章中直接找到答案;而主观判断题考查的是对文章的感情基调,作者未加陈述的观点以及贯穿全文的中心主旨的理解等,这类题必须经过对作者的态度、意图以及对整篇文章进行深一层的推理等。其次,了解试题题干以及各个选项所包含的信息,然后有针对性地对文章进行扫读,对有关信息进行快速定位,再将相关信息进行整合、甄别、分析、对比,有根有据地排除干扰项,选出正确答案。此法加强了阅读的针对性,提高了做题的准确率,节省了宝贵的时间。 二、预测文章内容来提高阅读速度 读者在阅读某作品时,有着自己的某种专业知识,以及对世界、社会、事物的了解,有着自己对人生的感悟及生活的体验和经验。因而,读者通过作品可以和作者产生某种思想上的共鸣。读者应该顺着故事情节的发展,或顺着作者对某种观点阐述的逻辑思维过程,在一定范围内预测作品的下一步发展方向。 三、根据上下文猜测词义来提高阅读速度 在阅读的过程中,我们都会不可避免地遇到生词。而在关键的地方,对这些生词词义的推测和正确理解与否直接影响到我们对句子意思的把握和对全文的理解以及对文章内容的正确把握。词汇量的大小一定程度上影响阅读速度的快慢及阅读理解的准确率,因此在阅读过程中根据上下文猜词义就成了一个主要的阅读技巧。在词汇量大致相同的情况下,有的同学能运用这一技巧准确理解原文,有的同学则只因为运用阅读中碰到二、三个生词而导致对原文的误解,还有的同学把许多时间花费在一、二个对原文的准确理解无足轻重的生词上,而影响完成阅读量。抓住文章的主要内容,根据上下文猜测词义来提高阅读速度。少数生词的存在决不会影响阅读理解。猜测并不是无边无际地对文章进行自己的臆测,它要求学生能够调动自己的所有知识,文化的,语言的等等,克服自己由于词汇量的不足带来的阅读障碍,较为准确地掌握文章的中心内容。 四、利用略读来提高阅读速度 略读,即指读者以最快的速度粗略地对文章的内容获以梗概;而查阅,即指以最快的速度从一篇文章中淘沙捡金,获取读者所需的材料或信息,包括查找人名、地名、事件发生的事件或地点等。首先快速浏览文章的前面几段,以便对文章的内容、背景、写作的风格以及作者的观点等有所了解,而对后面的一些段落可以只读每段的主题句。主题句一般位于句首、句末,也有少数插入段中。 五、注意正确的阅读习惯的培养 在阅读的过程中,头不要在阅读过程中来回移动,不要读出声,尽量不回视,一口气读完。不懂时,可根据问题的要求再回头重读,有针对性地查找相关信息。阅读时,以意群为阅读单位,不要逐词逐词的读,要养成这样的阅读习惯,必须经过长时期的训练才会有效果。而且,要注意将提高速度、丰富词汇量、扩大知识面与提高阅读能力,灌输阅读技巧有机地结合起来。 六、提高阅读能力的注意点 阅读能力的提高非一朝一夕,而是逐渐达到的,要提高阅读水平须重视以下三个方面: 1.阅读材料的选取 选用适合程度的语言材料是非常重要的。从文章的难易程度来看,如果所读材料生词过多,难免要不停地查阅字典,如果句子过分复杂,每句都须反复推敲,那么学生必然很快失去阅读兴趣。因此,所选材料应以熟悉的词汇和语法结构为基础。遇到少量的生词可以猜测其意义。猜测对提高外语阅读能力有重要作用。从文章的体裁来看,所读材料应内容丰富、题材广泛、体裁多样,联系社会生活,贴近学生实际。这样才能培养学生的跨文化意识。从文章的内容来看,阅读材料的趣味性也必须十分注意。阅读的内容能唤起学生的阅读兴趣,一旦学生培养起阅读的兴趣,阅读能力将会迅速提高。 2.阅读策略的培养 在进行阅读前后甚至同时,适当插入一些特殊的训练对提高阅读效果和培养阅读能力大有好处。这些练习旨在帮助学生利用上下文揭示词义,分析句子的语法结构和词类形式,迅速抓住基本思想,并学会使用字典。学生必须逐步学会通过分析词的结构以及上下文关系帮助理解词义。阅读短文还应遵循由整体到细节的原则,按“全文、段落、句子、词语”的步骤阅读文章,可采用通读、细读和复读的方法找到

浅谈“学生英语阅读能力”的培养 发表时间:2016-04-08T11:01:01.997Z 来源:《中小学教育》2016年2月总第233期作者:史雪梅 [导读] 山东省栖霞市第一中学虽然听说读写环环相扣,但是阅读在英语学习中尤为重要。 山东省栖霞市第一中学265300 大家都知道阅读在英语教学中起着举足轻重的作用。首先,阅读是掌握和记忆英语单词的最佳手段;其次,阅读可以提高写作能力、分析能力,而且有助于口语和听力水平的提高。虽然听说读写环环相扣,但是阅读在英语学习中尤为重要。我们可以尝试以下做法:一、精选阅读材料,消除学生的恐惧心理 在阅读能力的训练过程中,要遵循循序渐进的原则。因此在选取阅读材料上一定要把握难易度,不可以没有挑战性但绝对不可以太难。要从高一开始严抓学生的阅读基本功,选择材料时做到由浅入深、由易到难,逐步克服学生害怕阅读的心理障碍,从而不断扩大学生的知识面,极大地提高学生的阅读兴趣,为提高学生的阅读能力打下基础。 阅读材料的内容应题材广泛、趣味性强,其目的是让学生体验到阅读给他们带来的快乐和愉悦,从而激发他们的阅读动机。所以阅读材料要有趣味性,如果文章枯燥乏味,结果会适得其反。同时阅读材料的篇幅不宜过长,否则会影响学生的阅读积极性。只要学生能在较短的时间内完成阅读内容并且有所收获,他们就容易获得成就感,而这种成就感可以强化其阅读的兴趣。 二、精读和泛读相结合 阅读时我们要合理搭配精读和泛读。学生通过精读可以掌握英语的各项技能,所以精读是学生获得英语知识的重要来源。泛读的重点放在针对问题快速的捕捉信息上。主要考查如下:快速阅读,掌握其大意;猜测词义,对深层意思的理解。 首先,学生在归纳大意这方面存在严重的问题,我们可以在阅读中注重培养学生做到:分析标题,根据标题预测内容。 我们知道,文章的标题往往是文章的中心,但是标题的特点、形式不同,所以分析标题可以帮助学生建立文章的图式,也可以建立标题的图式。 其次,分析文章版式。 文章结构是体裁的主要标识,如散文、戏剧、诗歌就有着完全不同的结构。在阅读过程中,直接从文章结构把握图式,是非常重要的理解步骤。要分析章节、段落、语句、语词的关系,如有些从句的位置不影响从句的含义,但有些从句的位置则会直接影响语句的意义。 例如2009年北京卷D篇:When students and parents are asked to rate subjects according to their importance,the arts are unavoidably at the bottom of the list.Music is nice,people seem to say,but not important.Too often it is viewed as mere entainment,but certainly not an education priority(优先).This view is shortsighted.In fact,music education is beneficial and important for all students.… 71.What’s the main idea of the passage? D.Music education makes students more imaginative. 通过分析这篇文章,我们知道这是一篇开篇点题的文章,再根据作者的观点、态度,我们不难看出第一段的最后一句话是主题句。所以答案是A。 三、默读和朗读相结合 阅读还要包括默读和朗读。单一的默读和朗读都是不可取的,默读阅读速度快,但容易分散注意力;朗读速度慢,但有助于集中注意力。富有感情的朗读,使语言材料具有表现力、感染力,并且准确的发音有助于说出一口流利的英语,所以要两者兼用。 四、开展主题活动,丰富阅读教学 教材每个单元都安排了适当的、有代表力的阅读材料,教师要针对学生已有的阅读水平,有目的地合理组织与本单元话题相关的材料来丰富高中英语阅读教学。如课前的class report、学校广播、英语角等都是学生展示自我的很好的平台;另外,可通过阅读组织写作比赛、演讲比赛、写读后感、办手抄报等丰富多彩的活动来调动学生参与英语阅读的积极性。 五、健全评价机制,促进阅读效果 学生是懒惰的,如果缺少了督促,阅读就很难坚持下去。让学生独立阅读,但绝不是“放羊式”的阅读,而是要在教师有计划的指导下进行的课外阅读。所以,教师既要做好指导,又要进行有效评价和监督。 第一,为了让学生做好课外阅读,我们教师也要提高自身素质,博览群书,为学生树立良好的榜样。 第二,在平时的教学中,我们教师要对学生加强阅读的指导与监督。指导学生在阅读中做到: (1)摘抄:摘抄精彩的词句、片段、格言和警句等,为语言运用积累素材。 (2)列提纲:列出文章的主题、框架和故事梗概,培养学生的语篇分析能力。 (3)写读书体会:分析文章的思想内容、人物形象和语言特点,提高学生的鉴赏能力。 第三,要对学生的课外阅读有一个形成性的评价,要定期或不定期地进行朗读和阅读理解的检查,开展小组内讨论与评价,督促学生养成英语阅读的良好习惯。 总之,在学生高中阶段进行有计划、有目的的系统阅读训练,可以帮助学生掌握良好的阅读技巧和策略,为未来学习和运用英语打好基础。

浅谈如何提初中学生英语阅读能力 英语阅读是外语教学中的重要一环,而提中学生英语阅读理解能力也一直是英语教学的重要目标。怎么提高中学生的英语阅读能力呢?本人觉得调动学生学习的主观能动性,激发学生的主体意识是关键。 那么作为老师我们应该怎样帮助学生提高阅读理解能力呢?在初中阅读课的教学中应如何调动学生学习的主观能动性,激发学生的主体意识,以达到培养和提高学生的英语阅读能力呢?我觉得要做到以下几点: 一、作为教师要充分了解影响阅读理解的因素 影响阅读理解的因素很多,包括语言知识、认知技巧、个人经历、世界知识等等。语言知识包括词汇、语法、语篇等不同层次,是理解语言的基础。读者在阅读时不能一个词一个词地理解,有效的阅读,应该更多地关注关键词或语意群。背景知识是影响阅读理解的另一个重要因素。学生的已有知识、经历、概念能力、理解模式、情感、情绪以及其他种种非理性因素构成了学生的认知图式,这些因素相互影响,从而使读者在阅读能力方面存在着差异。 二、作为教师要为学生设计好提问,激发学生的主体思维 问题设计是英语阅读教学的重要手段,是帮助学生理解、鉴赏文章的切入点。教师设计问题,要遵循循序渐近的原则,要把问题建筑在学生的注意力和兴趣之上,服务于全面提高学生素质水平的目标需要。 初中英语课文内容参透了丰富的审美以及科学教育内容。在这些兼顾知识性、趣味性、思想性的阅读课教学中精心设计既有启发性又能激起学生探讨兴趣的系列问题,可以启迪学生动脑,激发学生思维,培养学生主动学习的习惯。 通过这样的提问,推想出课文中没有写到但又与之关系密切的若干内容,能使学生加深和拓宽对课文人物刻画、主题表现的领悟,激起他们去主动思考和探索。
