在雅思口语考试中，Part 2为话题描述部分，是让大多数考生都望而生畏的部分。这部分的考试基本上是由考生一个人陈述完成，考官在这个部分是大多是扮演一个聆听者的角色，基本上和考生没有太多对话交流，所以很容易造成考生的紧张。若是出现难题，则更会让考生不知所措，从而导致整个口语考试的严重失分。在Part 2中，地点类是必考的一个部分。地点类考题在每次考试或虽然比重不是最大的，但是朗阁海外考试研究中心的专家建议同学们在备考过程中是必须要认真准备这一类话题。

在2012年上半年的考试中，全球各考点经常出现的地点类考题如下：

别2012年上半年常考的考题可以分成四类。

Ⅰ相对较大的地点

在这一类地点题中考到了foreign city/ country，并且还出现了a place near the water，所以朗阁海外考试研究中心的专家建议各位考生可以准备一个靠近海的外国城市，这样就能成功应对两个考察相对较大地点的考题了，像悉尼，墨尔本，洛杉矶，马尔代夫……都是很好的选择。该考题的原题如下：

在对此类建筑话题进行描述时，往往要求考生描述以下方面：建筑所在地点(where)，参观此建筑的时间(when)/多久去一次(how long)，参与的人(who)以及为什么喜欢/不喜欢这个建筑(why)。这种类型的问题对大多数考生来说都比较简单，只需把重点放在喜欢或者不喜欢的原因即可学生很容易找到相关思路并且做出清晰流畅的回答。而对于特定的建筑物而言，朗阁海外考试研究中心的专家提醒同学们要注意，需要重点描述的是为什么在这么多的图书馆、餐馆、博物馆、宾馆、建筑物中，你不选择其他作为描述对象，而偏偏选择这个，也就是说这个地点或描述对象本身具有较多的特征或特别之处，才值得一提，所以，在选择对象的时候，要注意一些其自身的特色，以及可以提一下在此建筑物中的经历。

Ⅳ景点类

Describe a nature beauty

在景点类考题中，考生们在备考中要准备一个人文景观（historic site）和一个自然景观（nature beauty），自然景观可以参照城市类的考题进行准备，而A Historic Site这个考题考生们可能不太熟悉，题目如下：

Describe an interesting historic site

You should say:

where it was

what you saw at this site (or, what it looked like)

what role it played in history

and explain what interested you about that place

这道题的难点在于对于历史建筑的描述，在强调它的历史作用时多少会涉及到历史作用时多少会涉及到历史知识以及一些专有名词的表达。而不管各位考生是选择中国的还是国外的历史建筑，鉴于平日里谈论得极少，考试前没有足够的准备就很难开口。所以各位考生在考前可以结合其它描述地点或建筑的话题一起准备：Describe a museum/an old

Every time I go into the library, I can see people in all ages reading books, surfing in the internet, discussing questions, or watching movies, which makes me feel peaceful. The race attracted all the animals in the forest. A staring line was made and off the hare and tortoise went. The hare was very fast, so he was far ahead, then he took a rest. The tortoise, however, kept moving forward slowly but surly. By the time the tortoise came up, his opponent was sleeping. The hare didn’t wake up until it was too late. The winner was the tortoise. It’s a quite simple but meaningful story. It teaches us that, as long as we stick to our goals, we will reach it, no matter what.
