Good morning, everyone! Today, I’d like to talk about culture shock. Perhaps you think studying in the different country is something that sound very exciting. It is a new experience, where brings the opportunity of discovering amazed things. It also brings a feeling of free. Despite of these advantages, therefore, there are also some challenges you will face. You may have difficulty adjust to quite different things. To be exact, culture shock is a feeling of anxiety, uncertainty and confusion felt by people when you first arrive another country.
Thank you for the lovely day we have with you. It was so kind for you to let us bring Anne's friend, Gina. Unfortunate, the only problem was the journey home. There had been a terrible accident on the highway and, for a result, there was a long line of traffic for at least six mile. In the end, we drove to a service station and waited there unless the road was clear. In the car park here Gina nearly got knocked over as car drove out far too quickly from behind a lorry. They finally dropped Gina off at her parents' and made our own way to home.
There are many advantage of smiling. It can not only make us happy, but also please others. If we smile to life, life will smile to us on return. So I want to smile at all whenever and wherever possibly.
First, I would like to smile to my parents because you have given me life and taken the trouble to bringing me up. They arrange almost everything for me. I love my parents, with their help I have made a great progress. I will like to say “Thank you” to them with a smile. Then my smile should go to myself, but for only in this way can I gain more confidence in smiling my difficulties away and lived a better life.
I am pleasing to hear from you and know that you had a greatly time working part-time in a fast-food restaurant. Now I would like to share your working experiences with you during the past summer. In the beginning of the summer vacation, I was hired as shopping guide in a big supermarket.
I stood for ten hours a day and smiled to everyone I have met. Sometimes I was laughed at, and most of the time, I was praised for my wonderful works by many people. Half a month passed quickly after I knew it, and I learned how to deal with different people.
Above all, I have learned that smile is the key to solve any problem.
Yours Sincerely, Li Ming
