基于教材的小学英语写作训练实践探索

引言

《义务教育英语课程标准(2011年版)》在语言技能“写”的二级目标中明确要求:能正确地使用大小写字母和常用的标点符号;能写出简单的问候语和祝福语;能根据图片、词语或例句的提示,写出简短的语句(教育部2012)。

人教版小学《英语》新教材采用话题式和任务式编排,每个话题都设置了形式多样的任务,旨在提高学生的综合语言运用能力。但小学高年级英语教材每个单元的内容比较多,信息量很大,加上课时紧,教师往往只注重对学生听说和阅读能力的培养,而忽视了写作指导。笔者在近两年的小学高年级英语教学中,充分整合教学内容,创新写作教学方法,通过改写、仿写、扩写和创编等形式训练和培养学生的写作能力。

一、注重过程指导,体现循序渐进

在小学高年级英语写作教学中,教师应注重对学生学习过程的指导,遵循循序渐进的原则,注意词汇积累与写句能力的训练,有效落实英语写作教学的要求。

(一)丰富英语词汇量,夯实写作基础

词汇是学生学习英语的基础,因此教师在写作教学过程中应指导学生多注意词汇的积累,丰富词汇量。词汇学习应以英语课本为中心,课本上的词汇一般属于基础词汇,与学生的实际生活也比较贴近,简单易懂,也较容易掌握。教师应定期检查学生对课本基础词汇的掌握程度。另外,当学生了解了一个单词的真正意义后,教师应鼓励学生联想相关词汇,逐渐扩大学生的词汇体系,帮助学生记忆更多的英语词汇。

(二)依托教材情景,训练写句能力

句子是表达思想的最基本单位。教师应从写句训练入手,培养学生使用不同句型的能力,从而写出结构完整、句意清楚的句子。教师可以依托话题和教材内容,培养学生的写句能力;依靠回答问题、句子填空训练学生的组句能力;依据教材插图训练学生的造句能力等。写句训练应由短到长、由易到难,符合语言学习的规律。

(三)鼓励课外阅读,做到以读促写

在短短几十分钟的课堂上,教师能传授的知识是相当有限的,应鼓励学生利用课余时间多阅读一些课外英语读物,积累更多的词汇、句型,这既可以培养学生的语感,又可以帮助学生了解、掌握更多的外国文化知识,丰富他们的英语写作内容。教师还可以有针对性地提供一些与英语国家文化相关的英文读物,学生可以根据自己的喜好、兴趣自由选择。

二、基于教材实际,设计写作任务

在开展写作训练时,教师要关注学生的学习过程,立足教材,分析写作主题和学生的学情,并以此

So I firmly believe book is not only the source of knowledge. 上面的句子虽然没有语法问题,但读起来感觉却很奇怪,为什么?因为句子与句子之间并没有一个很好的逻辑关系:"go to traveling with my family" 与后面的"my oral English is much improved" 并没有必然联系,逻辑上讲不通。 除了句子的衔接外,段落与段落之间的衔接也非常重要。这一点在经济学人等外刊文章上体现得很好,比如这篇文章The weaker sex , 段落的结构非常清晰,开头都有主题句来引领全段,而且段落与段落之间是层层递进的关系。What can be done?
