With the acceleration of noticeable changes in campus life, we can clearly see the vital importance of dormitory life, which plays an indispensable role in the four years. Therefore, a good roommate seems to be a luxury that is expected.Choosing a friendly roommate is very important if one wants to create a healthy living environment. But what makes a good roommate?

From my perspective, a number of important qualities can be held in a potential roommate including friendliness, cleanliness, tolerance and so on.

First of all, the one with friendliness must be easy-going and we can share ideas with them without much obstacle. Besides, nobody would like to live with a messy roommate, leading to a lot of arguments over whose turn it is to tidy up the room. Only everyone participates in the cleaning chores can we live in a clean environment which in turn enables one to be much more successful in all endeavors. Last but not least, a tolerant heart is the Chinese traditional virtue.Thus, a good roommate is expected to be tolerant. Since the conflicts between roommates are inevitable and natural, the way one resolves contradictions can be quite significant. What plays a dominant role in the case is tolerance, a considerate roommate can handle it properly. In short, a good roommate can put himself in others' shoes and use an open mind to get on well with his partners.
