Polypropylene

Aramco PP CP90N

Product Description

Aramco PP CP90N is a block copolymer polypropylene resin and is typically used for industrial injection molding application. Molded parts made from this resin typically exhibits good impact, high stiffness and good heat stability. This product is formulated with nucleating agent.

Typical Applications

Crates, electrical appliances, thin wall applications and industrial applications. This product is not intended for use in medical and pharmaceutical applications.

Processing conditions: Recommended melt temperature

: 190 – 230 °C

Storage and handling: Aramco PP CP90N should be stored in a dry cool place with adequate ventilation and protected from UV-light at temperature below 50 °C

P ROVISIONAL D ATA S HEET G RIVORY HT G RIVORY XE 4027 BLACK 9916 Product description Grivory XE 4027 black 9916 is a 30% glass-fibre reinforced flame retardant (UL 94 V-0) engineering thermoplastic material based on a semicrystalline, partially aromatic co-polyamide. Grivory XE 4027 black 9916 is free of halogens and red phosphorus. RoHS: Grivory XE 4027 black 9916 is in compliance with RoHS (2002/95/EC, Re-striction of Hazardous Substances). WEEE:Parts produced from Grivory XE 4027 black 9916 are not subject to "selec-tive treatment" according the Directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Elec-tronic Equipment. ISO polymer designation: PA 10T/X ASTM designation: PPA, polyphthalamide The main distinguishing features of Grivory HT-PPA, when compared to other poly-amides, are its good performance at high temperatures providing parts which are stiffer, stronger, have better heat distortion and dimensional stability as well as excel-lent chemical resistance and low moisture absorption. Grivory XE 4027 black 9916 is especially suitable for injection moulded components in electrical and electronic applications which require a flame class acc. UL 94 V-0. The material is suitable for lead-free SMT reflow soldering acc. i.e. JEDEC J-STD-020C (peak temperature 260°C). Compo-nents conforming to JEDEC MSL1 are achievable.

The third and fourth digits indicate the molecular weight level for 1000 series. In case of copolymer, the third digit shows the viscosity level. The co-polymerization ratio can be roughly calculated from the fourth digit multiplying by 5. “T” means the basic grade for monofilament application and the grade contain some additives for maintain good process stability and high trans-parency. Presented at the 11th International Cryocooler Conference June 20-22, 2000 Keystone, Co Cryogenic Material Properties Database Cryogenic Material Properties Database E.D. Marquardt, J.P. Le, and Ray Radebaugh National Institute of Standards and Technology Boulder, CO 80303 ABSTRACT NIST has published at least two references compiling cryogenic material properties. These include the Handbook on Materials for Superconducting Machinery and the LNG Materials & Fluids. Neither has been updated since 1977 and are currently out of print. While there is a great deal of published data on cryogenic material properties, it is often difficult to find and not in a form that is convenient to use. We have begun a new program to collect, compile, and correlate property information for materials used in cryogenics. The initial phase of this program has focused on picking simple models to use for thermal conductivity, thermal expansion, and specific heat. We have broken down the temperature scale into four ranges: a) less than 4 K, b) 4 K to77 K, c) 77 K to 300 K, and d) 300 K to the melting point. Initial materials that we have compiled include oxygen free copper, 6061-T6 aluminum, G-10 fiberglass epoxy, 718 Inconel, Kevlar, niobium titanium (NbTi), beryllium copper, polyamide (nylon), polyimide, 304 stainless steel, Teflon, and Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy. Correlations are given for each material and property over some of the temperature range. We will continue to add new materials and increase the temperature range. We hope to offer these material properties as subroutines that can be called from your own code or from within commercial software packages. We will also identify where new measurements need to be made to give complete property prediction from 50 mK to the melting point. INTRODUCTION The explosive growth of cryogenics in the early 50’s led to much interest in material properties at low temperatures. Important fundamental theory and measurements of low temperature material properties were performed in the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. The results of this large amount of work has become fragmented and dispersed in many different publications, most of which are out of print and difficult to find. Old time engineers often have a file filled with old graphs; young engineers often don’t know how to find this information. Since most of the work was performed before the desktop computer became available, when data can be found, it is published in simple tables or graphically, making the information difficult to accurately determine and use. NIST has begun a program to gather cryogenic material property data and make it available in a form that is useful to engineers.
