教师首先告诉学生英语书写练习本是四线三格本。大小写字母在占格时有所不同。有的占一、二两格，有的占第二格，有的占二、三两格。请学生仔细看老师在黑板上的书写示范。

教师在画有四线三格的黑板上写字母，边写边告诉学生从哪下笔，见笔完成一个字母，说明英语字母要向右稍倾斜。随后，请学生伸出手指与教师共同书空。
