Every year on my birthday, from the age of one to sixteen, a white gardenia was sent to my house. There was no card with it. I made some calls to the flower shop, but it was not helpful at all. Then I stopped fi nding out the sender‘s name

Lin Dan, the Chinese badminton player, won the gold in the badminton men‘s singles final at the Asian Games in Guangzhou. He beat Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia, who ranked No 1 in the world, on November 21.
