1.To guide students to read the three stories and understand the dilemmas of the writers.

2.To guide students to guess and understand the meanings of some new words and the new meanings of some old words in the context: high-rise, question, carriage, bully, tough, bark, guilty conscience, etc.

3.To help students develop a proper attitude towards problems in their lives and learn to ask for help. 2学情分析

学生为普通中学生源,对英语学习有一定兴趣,但是基础较为薄弱,能够理解文本意思,但是很难用流利的语言表达自己的想法。

重点:1.通过上下文以及语境猜测新单词意思。

2.能够通过各种阅读技巧,理解文本中作者面对的困难的棘手之处。

3.能够根据文本内容,组织语言提出建议。

难点:理解文本中作者面对的困难的棘手之处,并能提出自己的想法。

活动1【导入】Lead－in

See a clip of video of “Zootopia” and ask students some questions about the clip.

1. What problem did the otter (水獭) meet?

2. Who did she turn to for help?

Free talk: Have you ever met any problems in your life? What were they? Who would you like to turn to f or help? In what way?

Read the introduction and answer the questions.
