Recently, there is a heated discussion about the news that English will be remov ed from the College Entrance Examinations from 2016.Instead students can attend t he English test more than one time a year, of which the best performance will be con sidered as the final score in the Exams. As for it, different people have different opini ons.

People supporting it hold the following reasons. For one thing, they think English is t oo difficult for some students to reach the required standard. For another, it takes to o much to study it. However, some people are strongly against it. From their own ex periences, English plays a key role in their further study and career. What’s more, the reform may, in a way, impose more burdens on students rather than reduce.

As far as I am concerned, I support the reform because if so, students can decide ho w well they should learn English by themselves according to their interest and major.
