For instance, since I had an access to the wireless network in my dormitory and bought a smart phone, I have been connecting with friends by way of Wechat. It is really convenient. From the above analysis, we have learned that subjective needs and objective technical conditions are vital reasons for Wechat’s popularity. Then how does Wechat have influence on our life ?

The way of communication has changed. Let’s take a Wechat user named Yong for example. Yong contacted with his friends by sending messages or making phone calls before. And now, he uses Wechat as a way to communicate instead. Even he just sends a text message, Wechat is much more convenient than short message. If he sends a picture, audio or video, short message costs much more than Wechat.

Consumption patterns have been changed. There are different kinds of products and services on offer by Wechat. We can buy what we need easily. It is convenient that we can submit payments online through network banks of Wechat.

Selling pattern is one more change. By cooperating with different businesses, Wechat brings additional profits to them. We may realize this point from the following example. A restaurant opened, then the owner generalized her restaurant through cost-effective Wechat. Customers get a drink for free as long as the QR code of this restaurant is scanned by their Wechat. The owner profits most by informing these fans of relevant promotion messages.
