Chinese writer Mo Yan won the Nobel Prize for Literature （诺贝尔文学奖）on Thursday, October 12th in 2012. He was the first Chinese 1 (win) this prize.

Mo Yan’s real name is Guan Moye. He 2 (bear) in a poor family in Gaomi, Shandong Province in 1955. His parents are both farmers.
