halloween

halloween is an autumn holiday that americans celebrate every year. it means holy evening, and it es every october 31, the evening before all saints‘ day. however, it is not

really a church holiday, it is a holiday for children mainly.

every autumn, when the vegetables are ready to eat, children pick large orange pumpkins. then they cut faces in

the pumpkins and put a burning candle inside. it looks as if there were a person looking out of the pumpkin! these lights are called jack-o‘-lanterns, which means jack of the lantern.

the children also put on strange masks and frightening costumes every halloween. some children paint their faces to look like monsters. then they carry boxes or bags from house

to house. every time they e to a new house, they say,trick or treat! money or eat! the grown-ups put treat-money or candy

in their bags.

not only children, but most grown-ups also love halloween and halloween parties because on this day,they can disguise themselves as personages or ghost as their imaginations will lead them. this bring them the satisfaction of being young.

万圣节前夕是美国人年年都会庆祝的秋季节日。它的意思是“神圣的夜晚”，在每年的10月31日，也就是万圣节前夜。但实际上这不是一个真正的宗教节日，而主要是孩子们的节日。

初探项目化学习在小学英语教学中的运用泗塘新村小学徐丽娜一、项目学习的概述项目化学习是一种基于真实问题的探究性学习，一方面，项目活动的设计通常围绕某个问题而展开，另一方面，学生在具体的情境中通过探究来解决这一实际的问题。从学习心理学的角度来讲，项目化学习就其本质来讲是一个问题解决的过程，一般要经过：发现问题-提出问题-分析问题-评价等几个阶段。《21世纪技能》一书对PBA是这样定义的：“项目学习强调运用学科的基本概念和原理，从真实世界中的问题出发，通过组织学习小组扮演特定的专业角色并借助多种资源开展探究活动，在一定时间内解决一系列相互关联着的问题，并将研究结果以作品或绩效的形式展示出来。” 二、项目的设计 1.项目的背景分析。项目学习可以运用于学科的某一课时教学，或是单元的的整体设计教学、复习。因此根据所教学校整体的实际学情，结合客观存在的家庭因素，即父母并非是精通英语之人，从而导致学生运用语言的机会很少的情况。我尝试将“项目化学习”的设计运用在有一定语言基础的五年级课堂教学。而小学阶段高年级的英语课程任务是：在激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣、使学生树立自信心的基础上，养成良好的学习习惯和形成有效的学习策略，并且发展学生自主学习的能力和合作精神，使学生掌握一定的英语基础知识和听、说、读、写得
