Aims:

Steps Suggestions Step 1 Warm-up

1.Learn to sing a song: Who’s your teacher?

2.Revise the dialogue in Let’s talk.

T:Who is Oliver’s music teacher? Is she kind? What kind of teacher do you like? etc.

虽然歌曲在本册课本没有安排在哪个课时,但是由于学生本身的能力,完全可以学会唱这首歌曲。复习和提升相结合,让学生学会运用所学的语言来表达自己真实的想法。

Step2 Presentation and Practice

1.Free talk between T and Ss.

Who’s your Chinese teacher? Is he young?

Ss try to spell the word “young” and “old”

Show some new words: cold, hold, fold, told

2.Show some pictures and let the students guess: young or old?

3.Let’s find out. Ss read the word and find out their

friends. Help studuents to know: new-old. young-old. 4.T point at the word “ find” and let the students spell it.

Then get them spell more words: mind, kind.

5.T asks: Who si kind, Miss White or Mr Li?

Miss White is kind.

What about Mr Li?

6.Teach: strict.

More words: street, strawberry, strong 通过对话引出young和old,让学生根据发音来拼出这两单词,同时给一些单词帮助学生更好地掌握old的发音。

找反义词使学生明白old 有两个反义词。

虽然mind学生没有接触过,但是相信通过这样的方式,学生能根据发音规律拼写出正确的单词。

通过分音节的方式来完成教学。帮助学会了解str的固定发音。

7.Let’s chect.

Show some letters and let the students make words.

Then match with the pictures and describe them. They can describe them like this: Miss White is kind. Etc. 8.Teach: funny.

Show some pictures about funny things.

9Let’s read and write.

(1)Mr Young is a music teacher. He is _____.

(2)Mr Jones is an art teacher. He is ______.

(3)Miss Green is a science teacher. She is ______.

(4)Miss White is an English teacher. She is ______.

(5)Mr Li is a maths teacher. He is _______. 10.Let’s talk. Practise in pairs.

Oliver: Who’s your art teacher?

Zhang: Mr Jones.

Oliver: Is he young?

Zhang: Yes, he is.

11.Show a picture of Mrs Smith and teach: Mrs, head

teacher. Then ask: Who is your head teacher? And help them to describe their head teacher. 通过这样的方式能巩固单词,并且达到音形意的同步。

加强对funny的进一步理解

帮助学生记住各学科教学的名字和特征,并加强四会单词的书写。

从词汇到小对话,实现了语言的真交际。

让学生会区别运用Miss, Mrs, Ms and Mr

Step 3 Consolidation and Extension

1. Show some pictures of teachers in the school. First Ss can tell us what teachers are they? Then try to use Mr, Miss and Mrs well. They can practise like this:

A: Who is he/she in Picture A?

B: Mr/Miss/Mrs...

He/She’s our ... teacher.

2. Ss watch the video and repeat. .

3 Homework for today. 让语言学习从课本回归到生活,学以致用是学习的目标
