小学英语听力练习新制定的英语课程标准把“激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣，使学生树立自信心，养成良好的学习习惯和形成有效的学习策略，发展自主学习的能力和合作精神”放在英语课程任务的首位。我是这样考虑的：小学英语教学主要是教会学生如何学会英语，为真正实现终身学习创造条件。而听力是英语学习中四项基本技能之一，也是学生最感困难的一项技能。从我对学生的调查来看，有80%的学生感到听力困难。其主要原因是：语速太快，来不及理解，记忆失控。那么，如何在教学中解决这些问题，提高学生的听力水平呢? 众所周知，听是理解和吸收口头信息的手段。听和读是输入，只有达到足够的输入量，才能保证学生具有较好的说和写的输出能力。从心理上来说，听的活动可划分为：1.音的感知和识别；2.对具体材料的初步理解；3.领会材料的意思并进行记忆，即认知—理解—记忆。运用这条原理，我在小学英语听力教学中进行了实践，在优化英语听力教学、激活学生理解能力方面有一点拙见：一、导教、激发学生听的领会能力导教，即引导学生“乐学”。课堂教学是一个多方面、多层次、多元化的完整而复杂的过程，这个过程应充分体现“学生为主体，教师为主导，训练为主线”的教学原则。因此，我根据小学生的心理和认知特点，导出了听力教学中的三种科学方法： 1.单项性听和整体性听相结合的方法单项性听是把听的材料分为各个语言层次，让学生分步听，进行听力基本训练。整体性听是在听力基本功训练的基础上所进行的听的活动。 2.分散训练和集中训练相结合的方法分散训练主要是分散于词汇、句型、语言、课文教学中以各种单位和各种方式进行的听的活动。由于听的活动要求注意力高度集中，时间长了易于使学生疲劳，所以分散训练是一种有效的方法。但是分散训练时间短，不能就听本身的练进行系统指导和安排，所以学生听力不易迅速提高。只有集中进行听的训练，时间才能得到保证，教师才能集中精力，根据不同学生的不同听力困难，加以具体帮助和指导。 3.理解和反应相结合的方法学生在听力练习中，只有真正听懂了，才能作出正确反应，而是否听懂也只有靠作出反应的正确与否来检验。所以，如何才能使学生听得又快又好，是在训练中要着重解决的问题。通过以上方法的运用，我注重引导学生参与教学活动，创设问题情境，保持参与时间，使学生在参与听力教学的过程中学会认知，增长智能，发展素质，从“厌学”变成“乐学”，从而激发学生听的能力。二、导练，培养学生的辩析能力导练，即在教学中坚持“以训练为主线”的原则。学生的听力素质只有通过训练才能更好地形成和巩固。因此，我把学生听力技能、听力思维等方面的训练贯穿于教学始终，并力求训练形式多样，讲究实效。
