Abstract

In the construction of highway reconstruction and expansion projects, geogrid (grid room) has been widely used as a measure to control roadbed stability, but there still have been many con-troversies regarding its use in controlling the differential settlement between old and new road-beds. In order to solve this problem, the model test was conducted to investigate the stresses and deformations in subgrade. The various locations of geogrid, subgrade with or without geogrid were compared to evaluate the reinforcement effect of geogrids, and the optimal location was recommended. Keywords
