学好英语音标的正确的发音具有重要的实用意义。

首先:增强你的信心。我们以前不是自己说出一个句子,全班同学都不懂吗?自己的天方之谈往往要等老师重复一遍才能让其他人明白。外国人听你说话,不是要伸长脖子,拱起腰骨,方能听明白你说的什么么?真替外教心痛。这时自己是不是心里总有些什么的么?如果我说一遍外教就心领神会,马上接上我的意思,我们看外教的眼睛,肯定是在发亮的,我们的心里不是很感到自豪么?

其次:能够帮助你记住单词。英语的发音是有其内在的很强的规律的,虽然这个规律并不是几十条发音规则就能完全涵盖包容。以我自身为例子,你随便给个单词我,无论什么生词,我都能正确说出它的读音,即使我从前未曾见过这个单词。为什么这样,这就是英语语音的内在规律。既然有这个规律,当我们记一个单词,把这个单词拼读出来的时候,这个内在的语音规律自然能够不自觉的发生作用,帮助你加深这个单词的记忆的。虽然这个规律是不能三言两语说清的。

然后:增强阅读能力。好像发音跟阅读没多大关系的样子。阅读能力的好坏靠的不单止是词汇量和语法,还有个语感的问题。语感是个很虚的东西,不过可以感觉一下,我们读中文书籍,遇到不懂的字词,却仍然知道它大概的意思;看了这句话,知道下一句要说到甚么,等等,便是语感的作用。如果没学好正确的发音,是根本不能养成语感的,因为不正确的发音是游离的,不定的,试问游离不定的东西怎么形成专一的语感呢。

最后:对听力的帮助。其实大家应该很容易明白这个好处。但我自己的观点比较保守,我认为发音正确听力并不能就没有问题。听力很多时候并不专注一个单词,我们听的是一个句子,专注于其中一个单词往往会让你听不懂整个句子。发音正确能够提高你的听力,但不能完全解决听力问题

音标教学中应注意的几个问题

1、音标与字母在书写形式上的异同

教师应引导学生对音标与英语字母的书写形式加以分析,找出他们的异同,以避免两者之间的混淆。

元音音标

/i:/与小写字母i相同,后面加上长音符号“:”;/I/与大写字母I相同;/e/与小写字母e 相同; /A/是字母a和e的结合;/Λ/是v印刷体小写形式的倒写;/B:/与元音字母a的手写体小写形式相同,后面加上长音符号“:”;/D/与字母d的大写形式基本相同;/R:/是c印刷体小写形式的反写, 后面加上长音符号“:”;/J/很像物理中表示欧姆的符号Ω的倒写,但开口似大些;/u:/与元音字母u的印刷体小写形式相同,后面加上长音符号“:”;//:/相当于阿拉伯数字3后面加上长音符号“:”;/[/是e印刷体小写形式的倒写。双元音都是由两个单元音合并而成,注意双元音/aI/和/aJ/中的/a/不能写成/B/。

辅音音标

辅音音标有16个和辅音字母的印刷体小写形式相同,它们是:/p/, /b/, /t/, /d/, /f/, /v/, /s/, /z/, /k/, /m/, /n/, /l/, /r/, /h/, /w/, /j/, /g/和辅音字母G的手写体小写形式相同。/tr/, /dr/, /ts/, /dz/均能找到相对应的字母,新的符号有5个:/W/,/T/,/F/,/V/,/N/。英语的21个辅音字母中只有4个(c, q, x, y)未用作音标。

2、音标和字母的关系

字母是用来记录语言的文字符号,是拼音文字最小的书写单位。音标是用来精确地表示语音的符号,是帮助教学发音的工具。

3、中国学生学习英语音素常见的问题

如果了解英语音素和汉语音素有哪些相同和相异的地方,就可以预见学生在学习英语音素时的难点和重点,从而在教学中采取相应的措施,使他们学好每一个音素。

现将英语音素与汉语普通话的音素作一简要的比较

(1)元音英语的元音与汉语普通话的韵母相比,大致有以下异同:

①英语的长元音/i:/, //:/, /R:/, /u:/分别与汉语韵母i, e, ao, u相当,但由于汉语韵母的长短区别不明显,中国学生发这些英语的长元音时,往往不够长。

②英语的短元音/ I /,/ A/,/ D/,/J/,/Λ/在汉语普通话里没有相对应的韵母,中国学生学起来一般比较困难,特别是在发音时间上不够短。

③发汉语的韵母时,一般都开口不大,连开大口的韵母B的开口程度也没有英语开元音/A/,/D/和/B:/那么大。因此,中国学生发英语的/A /,/D/和/B:/时,往往口张得不够大。

④英语的中元音/[/与汉语韵母的轻声e相近。前元音/e/汉语中无对应音。

⑤英语双元音/eI/,/aI/,/aJ/,/[J/比汉语中相应的复韵母ei, ai, ao, ou读得长。其它4个双元音/RI/,/I[/,/e[/,/J[/,汉语普通话里没有相对应的音。我国学生在学习这些音时,要特别注意它们的发音部位和方法。

(2)辅音中国学生学习英语辅音时,困难没有学英语元音那么大。英语28个辅音,除/θ/ /e/ /v/ /V / /tr/ /dr/与汉语拼音无联系外,其余的与汉语拼音均有联系。

①在教英语浊音时,一定要求学生用劲,使声带振动。

②汉语普通话,除用n和ng构成的鼻音韵母外,没有用辅音收尾的音节。而英语里除/w/, /j/, /h/, /r/, /tr/, /dr/外,有22个辅音可作尾辅音,所以英语带尾辅音的音节特别多,可以说英语大部分的词是带尾辅音的。中国学生往往在读英语的尾辅音时,习惯上在它的后面加上元音,如在爆破音后面加/[/,Is this a book?把book /bJk/读成/ bJk[/。在/f/, /v/, /m/后面加/u:/。因此,教师要经常提醒学生:要把辅音念得又短又轻,不要拖长或加上元音。

③汉语普通话里没有辅音连缀现象,而英语里辅音连缀很普遍,可以出现在词首、词中和词尾。如:cry, grade, black, clothes, please, floor, three, twelve, friend, brother, school, spring, street, strict, question, English, texts, desks。中国学生初学辅音连缀时,往往在两个辅音之间加上一个元音,如把black读成/b['lAk/,把bring读成/bJ'riN/,等。要指导学生将连缀的辅音连着快读,中间不要加元音。

语法一般疑问句和特殊疑问句

一.一般疑问句:(General Questions)用be或助动词置于句首,并以“Yes,…”,或“No,…”回答的问句称为一般疑问句(也称Yes-no questions)如:

Is it hot ?Yes, it is .\No, it isn’t .

Is it a car ?Yes, it is .\No, it isn’t .

Is this your ruler ?Yes, it is .\No, it isn’t .

Do you like bananas ?

Yes,I like bananas. \ No, I don’t like bananas.

Can Ming hear a drill ?

Yes , Ming can hear a drill.\No,Ming can’t hear a drill.

二特殊疑问句(又叫wh-question)(Special Questions)

用特殊疑问词来提出问题的疑问句叫作特殊疑问句。特殊疑问词一般要放在句首。常用的疑问词有what who ,which how why,when,where,etc等这些词都以wh 开头(包括how)所以也叫作wh-question。特殊疑问句要求回答具体内容。不能用yes或no回答。如:What can you see ?I can see a cat.

What can you hear ?I can hear a bus.

What can you do ?I can sing and dance.

What is it ?It’s a panda.

What do you like ?I like playing football

How old are you ?I’m ten.
