Part Ⅱ Analysis of Teaching Material.

This is an important unit in Book Two. The main topic of this unit is decision making. In this unit, students learn to talk about consequences, conditional if + will and modal should, and read articles according to scanning and deducing methods

This is the first period of this unit. It is closely related to our daily life and students? dreams, hence this period is helpful to raise students? learning interest and improve students? listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

Part Ⅲ Teaching Key and Difficult Points.

Key points:①To help Ss grasp the new words and phrases.

The vocabulary (jeans, organize, have a party, have a great

time…)

②To make them master the …if? sentence structure.

clause (if…will…)should be the key points of this part.

③To develop their abilities of listening as well as speaking.

④To enable them to study in groups and co-operate skillfully. Difficult points:①How to use the …if?sentences to express their thoughts and

feelings.

②How to improve their listening and speaking skills.

PartⅣTeaching Methods:

Teaching methods: In this Unit I will mostly use Pair-work method and the

communicative learning method and task-based method. Learning method: The students mostly learn by listening and speaking, discussing,

cooperative learning method.

Solutions: ①In the whole teaching procedure, I will lead and encourage

students to think more and speak more sentences with

if…will…pattern .

②I will let students do two pair-works , the first one is easier

and then I will give them a summary about if…will…sentence,

and finally there comes the second creative and a little difficult

pair-work.

PartⅤ: Teaching procedures.

Step1 Greetings & Leading in

Greet the students and introduce myself. In this step I will use free talk “How are you today? I am happy today and if I am happy, I will laugh, sometimes I will eat something. If you are happy, what will you do? ...” to lead in the new lesson. And show some picture to them.

Step2 Before Task

Let?s look at the following dialogue.

Eg.

A: Are you going to the party tomorrw night?

B:Yes, I am.

A:Who will you go with?

B:I think I’ll go with Karen and Anna.

A:If you do, you’ll have a good time.

Step 3 Words and phrases learning

I will use pictures to describe the new words and phrases to help students learn them and to strengthen their memory.

Step 4 Do activities through 1a and listening.

In 1a ,I will ask students to guess and match the statements with responses

first, then listen to check if their answers to the questions are correct. I will let students to listen the material 3 times. For the first time let them do the matching.

the second time to check the answer once more and the third time to read after the record. Then I will give them the tape script and ask some students to role play the dialogue. and ask students to practice in pairs. I will lead and encourage them to think more creative answers. And then encourage some of them to role play it.

Step 5 Pair work II

This step aims at helping the Ss express their thoughts and feelings using the new sentence structure and further their speaking ability. Besides, the Ss can also get a chance to co-operate with each other.

Step 6, Summary

Review the new words and structures.

Do some related exercises in the workbook.

I will use the same way used in 1a to teach these two listening practices.

Part ⅥBlackboard Design 让学生观察黑板上的句子并总结出if条件句中,主句用一般将来时态,从句用一般现在时态。

Present the teaching plan Hello, Ladies and Gentleman, I am glad to be here to give us a teaching practice. First, I will briefly introduce my teaching process. It can be divided into two periods. In the first period, I will mainly focus on the warming up, background information, new words, and general structure of the text respectively. During the second period, I will mainly cope with the writing patterns, language point, summary and homework. Through analyzing the genre of the text, students can master the similar writing patterns and also help students have a better understanding of this writing mode; the analysis of certain language points can help students master the usage of certain grammatical units which can contribute to their solid language foundation; while summary helps students review what they have learnt during class.
