Unit1 How tall are you?

【教学目标】

1、知识目标:

(1)能够在教师的帮助下,顺利回顾本单元学习的形容词的比较级形式,完成看图打钩,并进行有效的语言输出。The … is …er.

(2)通过学习Wu Yifan向Robot叙述一家去乡村郊游所听到的故事,来完成目标词句的阅读和书写任务。学生能够在老师的帮助下,理解对话大意,在语境中理解单词lower, smarter, become, shadow的意思,以及句型You are older and smarter than me. Why is my shadow longer when the sun gets lower?Your shadow grows longer because you are growing taller.

( 3 ) 学生能够之前两个任务的基础上,回顾旧知,完成对形容词比较级的听力练习,巩固taller, shorter, longer, heavier,How heavy are you? Hoe tall are you? I’m … than ….等句型。

2、技能目标:

(1)学生能根据所学词汇和句型,询问并回答两个事物之间的比较。(2)能正确的语音、语调及意群朗读对话,并进行思维拓展,回答开放性的问题。

3、情感目标:

(1)激发学生的英语学习兴趣,培养良好的英语学习习惯。

(2)培养学生用英语表达对两个事物之间的比较,并通过Little Duck

与Old Tree之间的故事,学会思考。

【教学重点】

1、句型:You are older and smarter than me. Why is my shadow longer when the sun gets lower?Your shadow grows longer because you are growing taller.

2、词汇:lower, smarter, become, shadow.

【教学难点】

1、学生能够在语境中理解生词lower, smarter, become, shadow的意思的意思,并能正确发音。

2、在具体的语境中,理解并使用下列句型:You are older and smarter than me. Why is my shadow longer when the sun gets lower?Your shadow grows longer because you are growing taller.

【教学准备】

1、教师准备与本课时相关音视频、单词卡片,教学挂图及课件。【教学过程】

Step 1:热身互动

Let’s sing

师生互致问候,自由对话。

T:Good morning, boys and girls.

T: Which season do you like best?

Ss: … I can … in ….

T: Look at the picture. ____ is coming.

(设计意图:通过对话,激活A部分学习的内容,并简单引出春季的到来。)

Step2 预授准备

1) Look and tick. 看图选择,打钩。

T: Spring is coming. The ____ is clearer.

Ss: A. sky

T: The _____ is brighter.

Ss: B. sun

(设计意图:进一步巩固学生学生比较级的知识。为下面的tick 环节做好准备。)

完成Look and tick.

Ss: The trees are greener. The weather is warmer.

(设计意图:在确认学生的答案后,再次回顾材料,加深对材料的理解,培养学生严谨的思维能力。)

Step3 导入新课

引入Wu Yifan一家人郊游照片。引入故事。

T: Wu Yifan and his family are going on a trip to the countryside.

He has a story to tell Robin.

Read the story and circle the words with “er”. Then talk about the

changes with your partners.

(设计意图:在阅读选择之前,让学生有目的的阅读,有效利用教材所给的资源,养成良好的观察和阅读的习惯。)

Step4 Consolation

★形容词的比较级形式:

1. 直接在单词末尾加er

2. 以不发音的e结尾的单音节词和少数双音节词

直接在词尾加r nice---nicer

3. 以重音闭音节结尾,且末尾只有一个辅音字母

的词先双鞋该辅音字母,再加er hot---hotter

4. 以辅音字母加y结尾的词,y变i,再加er

funny---funnier

Step 5 Homework

1. Read the text on P17 for 15 minutes and try to remember the new words and sentences.

2. Find more words about “er”.
