In the past, people had very different opinions about work. The ancient Greek

hated it. Aristotle (亚里士多德) said that working for money hurt the mind. The Romans didn't like work very much, either. Cicero (西塞罗) said that there were only two good jobs —a farmer and a businessman. The early Christians (基督教徒) thought that work and money from work were good—if people shared the money with the poor. In the sixteenth century, Thomas More(托马斯·摩尔) described a nice world in his Utopia (空想的完美境界). In the world, everybody worked. But there is another side to the matter. Many people have jobs that they don't like. They usually don't think of work as pleasure. They want more money but they don't want to work more. They look forward to vacations. People don't often take pictures of themselves at work.
