The word changed when James Watt invented the first steam engine, when Isaac Newton discovered the universa gravitation after hit by an appe, when Kar Marx wrote The Communist Manifesto, when Chairman Mao soemny decared the estabishment of the Peopes Repubic of China on the Tiananmen Rostrum, when Martin Luther King cried out I have a dream. The word was changed by something caed dream, which is invisibe, untouchabe but strong enough.

I can assure that every chid have written a

composition tited My Dream. They have aready written down their onging for the future. Some of them want to become scientists; some of them hope to become teachers or doctors. Maybe they didnt know how many difficuties they wi face before their dream come true. But the dreams are ike sma seeds panted in their hearts; ike the beacon in the sea that ead them to their destinations.

Dream is the fountain of strength. Dream is the support of faith. Dream is the Poaris. Dream reminds us to move forward, to strugge, to strive a the time. One of my friends tod me that dream wi never discard anyone! Yes, maybe one day everything is gone but dreams is sti there with you, eternay.

Dream changed us, and therefore we changed the word. It is dream that refreshes the word every day. It is aso dream that makes the word improve day by day. We dare to dream. We can aso achieve our dreams and change the word.

I cant imagine the word without dreams. How about you?

三分钟英语演讲稿梦想篇【3】

I am happy to join with you today in what wi go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation.

Five score years ago, a great American, in whose symboic shadow we stand today, signed the Emancipation Procamation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon ight of hope to miions of Negro saves who had been seared in the fames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the ong night of bad captivity.

But one hundred years ater, the Negro sti is not free. One hundred years ater, the ife of the Negro is sti sady cripped by the manaces of segregation and the chains of discrimination. One hundred years ater, the Negro ives on a oney isand of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of materia prosperity. One hundred years ater, the Negro is sti anguished in the corners of American society and finds himsef an exie in his own and. So weve come here today to dramatize a shamefu condition.

In a sense we have come to our nations capita to cash a check. When the architects of our repubic

wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Decaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fa heir. This note was a promise that a men, yes, back men as we as white men, woud be guaranteed the unaienabe rights of ife, iberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

It is obvious today that America has defauted on this promissory note insofar as her citizens of coor are concerned. Instead of honoring this sacred obigation, America has given the Negro peope a bad check, a check which has come back marked insufficient funds. But we refuse to beieve that the bank of justice is bankrupt. We refuse to beieve that there are insufficient funds in the great vauts of opportunity of this nation. So we have come to cash this check a check that wi give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice. We have aso come to this haowed spot to remind America of the fierce urgency of now. This is no time to engage in the uxury of cooing off or to take the tranquiizing drug of graduaism. Now is the time to

make rea the promises of democracy. Now is the time to rise from the dark and desoate vaey of segregation to the sunit path of racia justice. Now is the time to ift our nation from the quick sands of racia injustice to the soid rock of brotherhood. Now is the time to make justice a reaity for a of Gods chidren.

It woud be fata for the nation to overook the urgency of the moment. This swetering summer of the Negros egitimate discontent wi not pass unti there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equaity. Nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a beginning. Those who hope that the Negro needed to bow off steam and wi now be content wi have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usua. There wi be neither rest nor tranquiity in America unti the Negro is granted his citizenship rights. The whirwinds of revot wi continue to shake the foundations of our nation unti the bright day of justice emerges.

But there is something that I must say to my peope who stand on the warm threshod which eads into the paace of justice. In the process of gaining our rightfu pace we must not be guity of wrongfu deeds.

Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred.

We must forever conduct our strugge on the high pane of dignity and discipine. We must not aow our creative protest to degenerate into physica vioence. Again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physica force with sou force. The marveous new miitancy which has engufed the Negro community must not ead us to a distrust of a white peope, for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to reaize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny. They have come to reaize that their freedom is inextricaby bound to our freedom. We cannot wak aone.

As we wak, we must make the pedge that we sha aways march ahead. We cannot turn back. There are those who are asking the devotees of civi rights, When wi you be satisfied? We can never be satisfied as ong as the Negro is the victim of the unspeakabe horrors of poice brutaity. We can never be satisfied, as ong as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of trave, cannot gain odging in the motes of the highways and

the hotes of the cities. We cannot be satisfied as ong as the Negros basic mobiity is from a smaer ghetto to a arger one. We can never be satisfied as ong as our chidren are stripped of their sefhood and robbed of their dignity by signs stating For Whites Ony. We cannot be satisfied as ong as a Negro in Mississippi cannot vote and a Negro in New York beieves he has nothing for which to vote. No, no, we are not satisfied, and we wi not be satisfied unti justice ros down ike waters and righteousness ike a mighty stream.

I am not unmindfu that some of you have come here out of great trias and tribuations. Some of you have come fresh from narrow jai ces. Some of you have come from areas where your quest for freedom eft you battered by the storms of persecution and staggered by the winds of poice brutaity. You have been the veterans of creative suffering. Continue to work with the faith that unearned suffering is redemptive.

Go back to Mississippi, go back to Aabama, go back to South Caroina, go back to Georgia, go back to Louisiana, go back to the sums and ghettos of our

northern cities, knowing that somehow this situation can and wi be changed. Let us not waow in the vaey of despair.

I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficuties of today and tomorrow, I sti have a dream. It is a dream deepy rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation wi rise up, ive up to the true meaning of its creed: We hod these truths to be sef-evident; that a men are created equa.

I have a dream that one day on the red his of Georgia the sons of former saves and the sons of former save-owners wi be abe to sit down together at the tabe of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state swetering with the heat of injustice, swetering with the heat of oppression, wi be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four chidren wi one day ive in a nation where they wi not be judged by the coor if their skin but by the content of their

character.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day down in Aabama with its governor having his ips dripping with the words of interposition and nuification, one day right down in Aabama itte back boys and back girs wi be abe to join hands with itte white boys and white girs as sisters and brothers.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day every vaey sha be exated, every hi and mountain sha be made ow, the rough paces wi be made pain, and the crooked paces wi be made straight, and the gory of the Lord sha be reveaed, and a fesh sha see it together.

This is our hope. This is the faith that I go back to the South with. With this faith we wi be abe to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith we wi be abe to transform the janging discords of our nation into a beautifu symphony of brotherhood. With this faith we wi be abe to work together, to pray together, to strugge together, to go to jai together, to stand up for freedom together,

knowing that we wi be free one day.

This wi be the day when a of Gods chidren wi be abe to sing with new meaning.

My country, tis of thee,

Sweet and of iberty,

Of thee I sing:

Land where my fathers died,

Land of the pigrims pride,

From every mountainside

Let freedom ring.

And if America is to be a great nation this must become true. So et freedom ring from the prodigious hitops of New Hampshire.

Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York!

Let freedom ring from the heightening Aeghenies of Pennsyvania! Let freedom ring from the snowcapped Rockies of Coorado!

Let freedom ring from the curvaceous sopes of Caifornia!

But not ony that; et freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia! Let freedom ring from Lookout

Mountain of Tennessee!

Let freedom ring from every hi and moehi of Mississippi!

From every mountainside, et freedom ring!

When we et freedom ring, when we et it ring from every viage and every hamet, from every state and every city, we wi be abe to speed up that day when a of Gods chidren, back men and white men, Jews and Genties, Protestants and Cathoics, wi be abe to join hands and sing in the words of the od Negro spiritua, Free at ast! free at ast! thank God amighty, we are free at ast!

we are the world ,we are the future someone said ?°we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite?±. i don?t know who wrote these words, but i?ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. we are all in the position of the farmers. if we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. if we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all. we are young. ?°how to spend the youth??± it is a meaningful question. to answer it, first i have to ask ?°what do you understand by the word youth??± youth is not a time of life, it?s a state of mind. it?s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. it?s the matter of the will. it?s the freshness of the deep spring of life. youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. this often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . nobody grows old merely by a number of years . we grow old by deserting our ideals. years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . worry , fear , self ¨Cdistrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust . whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ?s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what?s next and the joy of the game of living . in the center of your heart and my heart there?s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young . a poet said ?°to see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour. several days ago, i had a chance to listen to a lecture. i learnt a lot there. i?d like to share it with all of you. let?s show our right palms. we can see three lines that show how our love.career and life is. i have a short line of life. what about yours? i wondered whether we could see our future in this way. well, let?s make a fist. where is our future? where is our love, career, and life? tell me.yeah, it is in our hands. it is held in ourselves. we all want the future to be better than the past. but the future can go better itself. don?t cry because it is over, smile because it happened. from the past, we?ve learnt that the life is tough, but we are tougher. we?ve learnt that we can?t choose how we feel, but we can choose what about it. failure doesn?t mean you don?t have it, it does mean you should do it in a different way. failure doesn?t mean you should give up, it does mean you must try harder. as what i said at the beginning, ?°we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite?±. the past has gone. nothing we do will change it. but the future is in front of us. believe that what we give to the world, the world will give to us. and from today on, let?s be the owners of ourselves, and speak out ?°we are the world, we are the future.?±?a?t£o3·??óà???ó¢ó??Y?2?? 3·??óà???ó¢ó??Y?2?? ?Y?2??ò?£o3·??óà???ó¢ó??Y?2?? you will no longer fear making new sounds, showing new facial expressions, using your body in new ways, approaching new people, and
