一教学目标：

1 语言目标

熟记单词：shoot，begin，god，remind，bit，silly

熟练运用：once upon a time，instead of，work on，a little bit，unless，so...that，as soon as

能用how,who,what,when,where,why等开头的疑问句讨论故事的发展。

2 能力目标

在听力训练中可以捕捉到关键词并能理解故事大意。

3 情感目标

通过学习愚公移山这个故事，让学生学习愚公不畏艰险，不惧困难，锲而不舍的精神，帮助学生树立远大的目标，为之奋斗。

二学情分析

随着知识的深入，八年级下册英语已颇具难度，学生成绩也产生了两极分化。但本课通过耳熟能详的故事导入主题，激起大多数学生的兴趣，组织多样化的活动调动所有学生的积极性，让他们参与到活动当中来。

三教学重点

听懂故事的大意，掌握本节课的目标语言。

根据听到的顺序为图片标序号，完成后集体核对答案。

2．再认真听一遍录音，圈出你所听到的单词，完成2b后集体核对答案。

3．听第三遍录音，学生跟读。

活动3 Groupwork --Retell the story

教师用问题提示故事主要内容:

Who are the main characters?

How does the story begin?

What happened next?

When did they begin to dig the mountains?

Where did they put the earth and stones?

Did Yu Gong moved the mountains? What happened at last?

2. 分组讨论，描述图片内容，掌握讲故事的要领。

3. 分组展示。

1．学生自读对话，完成下面的问题。(5分钟)

①判断正误T或F Ming Ming thinks the story of Yu Gong is trying to show us that anything is possible if you work hard.(T)

②根据对话内容填空Anna thinks Yu Gong could build a road instead of moving the mountains.

③英译汉There are many sides to a story and many ways to understand it.

2.Role-play the conversation in team.

活动5 Extension.

1, As soon as 表示一...就…,是从属连词，多用于引导时间状语从句。例如：指未发生的动作，规律是主句一般将来时，从句用一般现在时代替一般将来时。

I will tell him the news as soon as he comes back.

指紧接着发生的两个短动作，主从句都用一般过去时。

He took out his English book as soon as he sat down.

2, so… that…“如此……以至于……”引导的是表示结果的状语从句.如：

This book is so interesting that everyone wants to read it.

这本书如此的有趣,以至于人人都想看看.

3, unless，“如果不，除非”unless = if not。注意：主句用一般将来时，从句用一般现在时。

Unless you put on your raincoat，you’ll get wet．

从句主句

如果你不穿上你的雨衣，你将会淋湿。

If you don’t put on your raincoat , you’ll get wet.
