Laker 3.2v2p2a - 11/21/2007 Enhancement:

Router: In previous version, router prevents stack via by checking existing or new created MCell contact devices if via-to-via spacing rules are defined in tfNetRouteRule section.

New enhancement is made to cover transistor contact/via on source or drain pins and custom contact/via. From this patch release on, router will traverse database for any shapes in the corresponding contact/via layers.

Others: Main Window: Options -> Preferences -> Command -> Always Confirm EIP Save

This option reduces database synchronization issue in a collaboration environment of multiple users.

When it is turned on, if the master cell of edited data is also opened in another layout window, Laker will always ask user to save the edited data or discard the changes via “EIP Save Confirmation” form whenever user leaves any EIP hierarchy level.

When it is turned off, Laker will not prompt “EIP Save Confirmation” form unless user leaves the last opened master cell.

This option is off by default.

Others: Point-to-Point router can select instance pins with system layer and connect them after ViewInstPin is turned on.

Bug Fixes:

MCell: Poly contact at bottom side could not be selected by area and stretched down.

MCell: A user could modify MET[CO]X,Y values on the Create Transistor form, but once the cursor moved away from MET[CO]X,Y field, the modified values changed back to the default.

UDD: The Copy command for UDD did not maintain the pin's joint type of copied UDD instances.

P-Device: In Laker 3.2v2p2 version, if a P-device or an UDD instance was copied from one library to another library twice with Overwrite Existing Cell or Rename Copied Cell mode, and the flag of RenameSubMaster was set to TRUE in the

[LeoPreference] section of laker.rc, then the secondary copy might cause an open failure of that P-Device or UDD instance. This problem is fixed in this patch release. P-Device: Changing the attribute field, LibraryName, in Query form did not also correctly update the super master of P-device.

Router: Routing result of shielding width could not be smaller than signal width, either by net width in Constraint Editor or in routing Rule form.

Auto Contact: Auto Contact function did not handle contact/via spacing rule well for contact/via arrays dropped on metal slot objects.

Stream Importing:gdsIn had a performance issue for a layout design which consists of large number of array instances with variation.

Gen Pin: Fixed a Gen Pin problem, which was caused by different naming between net and port.

LVS: LVS had a problem of net connection extraction for a specific condition of all-angled shapes. For example, mirror layout did not pass LVS checking while non-mirror layout did pass LVS checking.

Lyric integration: Lyric used path’s end point and via’s center to judge whether the paths and vias were connected together. A new integration script including "Make abutment connections" option is provided for better integration flow.

Lyric integration: User wanted to set all metal shapes in Lyric as "non-editable"

(locked without any manual editing), not just only "fixed". The requirement is

implemented in this patch release.

Others: A schematic window could be displayed with a layout window, but the schematic view did not appear in the Open Cell form. This bug is fixed by refining codes to keep on checking whether a cell view is self-linked.

Others: Progress bar was disabled after executed dbGenPin command.

Reliablity: Laker crashed on Net Routing process.
