(1)每次从书店出来，我都像喝醉了酒似的，脑中被书中的人物所扰，踉踉跄跄，走路失去控制的能力。“明天早些来，可以全部看完了。”我告诉自己。想到明天仍可以占有书店的一角时，被快乐激动得忘形之躯，便险些撞到树干上去。

可是第二天走过几家书店都看不见那本书时，像在手中正看得起劲的书被人抢走一样，我暗暗焦急，并且诅咒地想：皆因没有钱，我不能占有读书的全部快乐，世上有钱的人这样多，他们把书买光了。

我惨淡无神地提着书包，抱着绝望的心情走进最末一家书店。昨天在这里看书时，已经剩了最后一册，可不是，看见书架上那本书的位置换了另外的书，心整个地下沉了。

正在这时，一个耳朵架着铅笔的店员走过来了，看那样子是来招呼我的（我多么怕受人招待），我慌忙把眼睛送上了书架，装作没看见。但是一本书触着我的胳膊，轻轻地送到我面前：“请看吧，我多留了一天没有卖。”

啊，我接过书害羞得不知应当如何表示对他的感激，他却若无其事地走开了。(2)被冲动的情感，使我的眼久久不能落在书本上。

当书店的日光灯忽的亮了起来，我才觉出我站在这里读了两个钟点了。我合上最后一页－咽了一口唾沫，好像所有的智慧都被吞食下去了。然后抬头找寻那耳朵上架铅笔的人，好交还他这本书。在远远的柜台旁，他向我轻轻地点点头，表示他已经知道我看完了，我默默地把书放回书架上。
