My favorite book Among all those books that I have been fascinated by, the Hunger Games series are the ones that would definitely stay in my mind for a lifetime. I still remember the very first time that I got to know this was from its movie version, by which I was totally astonished and captured after watching. Katniss, who is not only brave but also knowledgeable, selflessly replaced her little sister to be the tribute and finally won the tough game. Although she then enraged the capital, praised and called “ the girl on fire” by the people, Katniss became the symbol of a rebellion for the twelve districts against the Capitol's oppression. When reading the Hunger Games series, all I can feel are the power and drive, filled with the hope for freedom, justice and love. How I wish I could be a girl like Katniss, and be brave enough to fight like a fearless phoenix, strong, healthy and determined.

My favourite book, The Lady of the Camellias, was written by French writer Alexandre Dumasfils. The book tells the story about Marguerite, a young courtesan, who falls in love with a young man, Armand Duval, and then tries to escape from her questionable past, but fails at last and dies in heavy debts. There are two reasons that I like this book. One is Marguerite’s distinctive personality, considerate, which is different from other courtesans, most of whom are cold-hearted. My Favorite Book My favorite book is A Dream of Red Mansions, and it was also translated into The Story of the Stone or Chamber Hong Lou. The book is one of the four famous Chinese classic. It was written by Cao Xueqin and it contains 120 chapters. The main characters of this novel are Lin Daiyu and Jia bayou. Lin Daiyu, a very beautiful, well-educated and intelligent girl, is my favorite role. She can write great poems, but at the same time, she is weak and full of illness. She said she began to take medicine when she began to eat food. Besides, she is sentimental because she is an orphan. The love between Jia and Lin is based on spirit and understanding. Both of them hate the evil society, and they love individual freedom and have democratic ideas, which are not corresponding to the era. Except the love story between Jia and Lin, I also like the different types of treasures, traditional delicious food, poems and architectures in the novel. They are described in details. I have read the book twice, including a lot of reference books. Until now, it’s still my favorite book. L like it’s innocent love story, the elegant language, the interesting characters, the beautiful scenery, the rich ancient culture and so on.
