Good afternoon, everyone. Now I’ll say Ren’ai Project English Unit6 Topic1 SectionA.I’ll prepare to say the lesson from three parts.

Part One: Analysis of the Teaching Material

(一) Status and Function

This is an important lesson in this book. Such a topic is related to daily life, so it is helpful to raise learning interests of students and it will be also helpful to improve their society sense. It can help students to train “four skills” request of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Therefore this lesson is in the important position of the teaching material.

Most students are interested in TV programs .So this topic can greatly attract their interests. It can attract them to learn English well. After learning this lesson, they will know how to talk about TV programs.and broaden the students’ horizons.

(三)Teaching aims and Demands

1. Learn some new phrases:

would rather ...than ..., fall in love (with sb.)

2. Learn a useful sentence:

I would rather watch sports shows than those ones.

3. Review the sentence patterns in which v.-ing is used as object.

(1)In my spare time, I prefer watching TV, especially quiz shows from which I can learn a

lot.

Part Two: The Teaching Methods

3. Task-based” teaching method

As we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in the Middle School is to cultivate students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson I’ll mainly use “Communicative” teaching method, “Audio-visual” teaching method and “Task-based” teaching method.

To use these methods are helpful to develop the students’ abilities.

Part Three: Studying Procedures

Step 1 Review

复习上一单元的功能话题,引入本课相关内容。

1. (简要复习,激活学生的思维,让学生进入英语学习状态。)

T: Nice to see you again.

T: Could you tell me what you usually do in your spare time?

Step2Presentation

利用图片学习生词、重点句型及动名词的运用,导入1a。

1. (教师张贴一些著名电视节目主持人图片于黑板上。)

T: Look, there are some pictures on the blackboard. Could you tell me who they are?

Ss: They are Li Ruiying, Wang Xiaoya and Liu Chunyan.

T: Do you know what programs they host?

Ss: Li Ruiying hosts CCTV news. Liu Chunyan hosts children’s programs.

T: This is Wang Xiaoya. She is usually in charge of quiz shows.

3. (呈现1a,通过回答问题加深对1a内容的理解。)

T: Could you answer the questions on the blackboard? Any volunteers?

以表演形式巩固1a。学习1b并巩固句型would rather do sth. than sth.。

1. (分角色朗读1a并表演。教师可给予适当的帮助。)

T: Now let’s act it out in roles. S1 is Michael, S2 is Kangkang, S3 is Maria and S4 is Jane.

T: Good. The next group can make some changes according to your own ideas.

2. (把1b中的图片全部展示。也可利用前面板书的电视节目名称,用would rather … than …句型让学生谈论电视节目。)

3. (让学生用would rather ... than ... 句式造句,巩固并加深新句式的用法。)

Step 4 Practice 第四步练习(时间:10分钟)

充分调动学生独立思考的积极性,结合口语表达和听力训练完成1c和2。

1. (利用图片或歌曲导入1c并让学生独立完成1c,培养学生独立思考问题的能力。)

T: I am very pleased with your jobs. Maybe you watch TV every day. If I show you a picture or

a song, can you give some descriptions of it ? Let’s have a try. Listen to the song and tell us

something about it.

T: What do you think of the song when you hear it?

Ss: Very beautiful. This is a song of a film called Titanic.

T: Yes, you are right. Look, here are some pictures from CCTV-6 and some descriptions. Please match the pictures with their descriptions on 1c, Section A. Finish this part in one minute. (一分钟后)

T: Finished? S, could you give the order of the descriptions?

S: Yes. It is 2, 5, 1, 6, 4, 3.

T: Please read the descriptions for us. You can use“The picture shows/describes/includes ...”Example:

Picture 3 includes a story of good people fighting against bad people. Understand?

S1: I see. Picture 1 shows us the future. Picture 2 tells us a sad story.

小组活动,学生分组投票选出最受欢迎的三个节目进行交流探讨,汇报结果,完成家庭作业。

1. (把学生按10人一组分成几个小组,共同交流他们喜欢的电视节目,并向大家推荐自己认

为值得看的一些栏目。然后集合起来投票选出最受欢迎的三个节目,最后各组选派一个代表汇报评选结果,并阐述其理由。)

T: Maybe everyone has his/her own favorite TV program, but which program is the most popular one? Why do you think it is worth watching? Please speak out your favorite program and give your reasons. At last each group votes for the three most popular programs and report to the class.

2. Homework:

Write a passage to describe one of the TV plays which left deep impression on you. Including:

(1)The name of it and its director.

(2)The main characters.

(3)The main plot.

(4)The most beautiful scenery.

(5)Make a total conclusion.
