A letter of Consolation

Dear Li Ming,

I couldn’t find words to express how sad I was when I learned that a terrible situation had been caused by the earthquake which happened in place you lived in and has taken away thousands of people. And l would like to express my sympathies and condolences to all families of victims.

Meanwhile, I’d like to give my best wi shes to you and your families since I don’t know if you are ok. I know how grieved you must be, but I hope you can take good care of yourself. You must bear in mind that our government and other people are trying their best to help you and rescue work is being taking. And I believe any

difficulties ahead will be overcome soon and all of you will return to new homes in the near future. Furthermore, please let me know if there is anything I can do for you, I'll be glad to give as much help as I can.

I hope I can see your big smile on your face again and your life returns to normal soon.
