Step3、【助学点拨】

1.solve vt. solved, solving解决;解答,解释

solve a problem解决问题 ; use reason to solve problems用理智来解决问题solve a riddle;解答一个谜语; solve a problem [ puzzle ]解决问题[疑惑] eg.We firstly should this problem.我们首先应解决这问题。

eg.They can the problem easily.他们轻松的解了这个问题。

2.(1)as……as as +adj(原级)+as as +adv(原级)+as

3.一般用于 ,(肯定句,否定句都能用).so...as 一般用于 .

4.as...as与so...as均可表示" ",as...as...的用法:

两个as中间可以加形容词或者副词,由它要修饰的内容决定.它们的用法有异同之处:

肯定句用as...as,不用so...as;否定句两者均可使用.例如:

I didn't go far you.我走得不像你那么远.

They walked far the station.他们步行到了车站.

误:They walked so far as the station.

(2)as soon as as soon as possible

as early as possible 尽可能认真地

尽可能认真的

(3)as作介词。1).作“如,像”解。

eg:They got united one man.他们团结得像一个人一样。

2).作“充当,作为”解。

eg: a writer,he was famous.作为作家,他是很有名的。

(4)as/so long as作“只要”解,

eg; you study hard,you'll make progress.

只要你努力,你就会取得进步。

(5)As if/though也可用来引导表语从句,常用在“It appears/looks/seems...+as if/though”句型结构中。

eg.It appears it is going to clear up.看起来天要晴了。eg.It seems he knew nothing about it.他好像对此事一无所知。

(6)as to作“关于,至于”解。eg;

eg.There is no doubt as to his honesty.他的诚实是无可置疑的。

3.(1)neither conj. 也不 pron. 两者都不,neither用作代词,

4.表示“两者都不,双方均不”。eg.He answered neither of the letters.

他两封信都没回。

eg.—Which one would you like? 你喜欢哪一个?—Neither. 两个都不喜欢。(注意:)此时,与neither用法较为接近的词是none,但none的含义略有不同,none表示“(三者以上)所有的……都不”。

eg. None of us are perfect. 人无完人。

eg. Neither of them knows English.

(2)neither用作连词,常用短语为neither...nor...,表示“既不……也不……”。

eg. he I well educated.他和我都没受过良好教育。eg.I have time money. 我既没时间也没钱。

(提醒注意:)①neither和nor后面接同一词性的单词或短语。

②neither...nor...结构用作主语时,谓语动词必须与nor后面的名词或代词在人称及数上,即所谓的。

③在表示“既……也……”,即“两者都……”时,常用短语;表示“或者……或者……”(即二者选一)时,常用短语。

(3)neither用作副词,作“也不”解释,放在句首,表示前面否定的内容也适用于另一个人或物,句子须采用部分倒装。此时也可用nor

替换neither使用。eg.He isn’t coming here, neither am I .

eg.—I don't like this dress. 我不喜欢这件连衣裙。

— . 我也不喜欢。

eg.If you don't suppose the plan, .

如果你不支持那项计划,我也不支持。

4.Finally(1)表示先后顺序的“最后”、“终于”,通常放在句首。

如:The car wouldn’t start, so finally we decided to go on foot.

汽车不能发动,所以我们最后决定走路去。

(2)表示决定性的或不再更改的“最后”。如:It is not finally settled yet. 这事还未最后解决。区别 finally, at last, in the end。如: 1)

三者都可表示经过许多变化、一段等候或一番拖延或曲折之后的“最后”,

但有细微区别:finally 语气较轻,且平铺直叙,一般不带感情色彩,有时可与

in the end换用;而 at last换用;而则语气稍重,且往往带有一定的感情色彩

(如不耐烦、放心、如愿等)。如:

[ ] he succeeded. 最后他成功了 (不带感情色彩

(带有感情色彩---- 欣慰或如愿等)。

2) in the end 可用来谈论将来的事,而其它两者一般不这样用。

6.(1)in surprise 吃惊地

eg.I looked at him in great surprise because he changed so much. surprise可做,基本用法如下:

1)表示“惊讶”时,是不可数名词。

常用短语:让某人惊讶的是

2)表示“令人惊讶的事务/意外之事”时,是可数名词

(2)surprise还可以做 eg.,意思是“使...惊讶”。

常用短语:surprise sb

(3)派生词:

1)surprised 形容词,意思是“感到惊讶的”。

常用结构:be surprised at sth 对某事感到惊讶

be surprised to do sth 做某事而感到惊讶

be surprised + that从句因...而惊讶

2)surprising 形容词,意思是“令人感到惊讶的”。
