Unit 6 An old man tired to move the mountains

主备:夹河中学李海燕

单元学习目标:

一知识与技能:掌握本单元目标单词和短习语,能正确掌握和运用unless,as soon as ,so…..that 引导的状语从句的用法。能从时间,地点,人物及事件等方面描述英文故事。

一.词汇目标:

⊙1、 shoot –shot- shooting 射击、发射打死某人或某物

Hands up ,I’ll shoot anyone who moves.

Shoot at sb./sth.意为向…..开火/射击

⊙1. instead of代替、、、而不是、、、,后跟名词、代词、动名词

instead of doing sth 代替做某事 instead(adv),修饰整个句子,位于句末或句首

eg. He didn’t go to the zoo,_________,he went to the park.

= He went to the park __________________________to the zoo.

⊙2 、as soon as 引导时间状语从句,意为一….就…。刚…就…。注意前后时态的搭配,主句为一般将来时,从句用一般现在时表示将来(主将从现)。主句用一般过去式,从句也用一般过去时。I’ll write to you as soon as I get there .

He began to do his homework as soon as he got home .

⊙3 、 so…that ….引导结果状语从句,意为如此…..以至于…。

Eg. He was so angry that he could n’t say a word .

常见的结构有:

1) So+adj.+a(n)+单数名词+that 从句=such+a/an +adj.+ 单数名词+that 从句

Ann is so shy a girl that she can’t say a word in public.

Ann is such a shy girl she can’t say a word in public.

2) such +adj. +复数名词或不可数名词+that从句

They are such kind people that we all like them.

It was such bad weather that we had to stay at home .

3)当名词前有many,much ,few ,little 等次修饰时只能用so …that ….

There was so much work to do that we all felt tired.

⊙4 So…that ..可以与too…to…和enough to .互换。

⊙5 . remind v.提醒,使想起,后接名词或代词。

remind sb.+that /what 从句

remind sb. Of /about sb./sth. 使某人想起….,使想起

The picture reminded me of my grandfather .

Remind sb.to do sth. 提醒某人干某事

Please remind him to go to school on time .

⊙ 6 、 unless 除非…. ,如果不,除了…引导条件状语从句。相当于if ….not

You will miss the bus unless you hurry up.=

⊙ 7、 possible 可能的,反义词impossible意为:不可能

Eg. I will come back as soon as possible

17neither of 后接代词,两者都不,做主语时谓语动词常用单数。

⊙ 1 .fit的用法(1)作动词,意为:合适,合身。This coat doesn”t fit me.这件大衣我穿不合身。(2)作名词。意为合身。Fit is even more important than color. 合身比颜色更重要

(3)作形容词,意为:合适的、适宜的、健康的。

He isn”t fit for his work.他不适合做这项工作。

The food isn”t fit to eat.这食物不好吃。

It”s fir that he should say so.他那样说是恰当的。

Though he is over 70 years old, he feels/keeps fit. 尽管他70多岁,但精神头极好。

学习目标:词汇目标:

⊙1 sound 系动词,意为“听起来”,后接形容词做表语。

Sound like “听起来像…”后接名词或接句子。

That sounds good.= that sounds like a good idea/plan.

类似的系动词(感官东西)还有:look,small,taste,feel

⊙2 cheat v.欺骗,蒙骗。n.骗子。

Cheat sb.into doing sth.哄骗某人做某事

The salesman cheated me into buying a fale.那个推销员骗我卖假货。Cheat in exam 考试作弊

⊙3 keep sth for oneself(sb.)表示为某人保留某样东西,

eg:I will keep this bag for yourself .我会为你保留这个包.

区别:keep sth. to oneself 一般是表示保守秘密,

eg:Would you keep this to yourself? 你能保守这个秘密吗? (试一下)I f you can’t give it away,then keep it____ yourself.

如果你舍不得扔,就自己保留着,

I f you have some problems ,don’t keep them____ yourself.

如果有问题,不要憋在心里
