Sheldon(1987)提出,教材是外语学习中看得见的心脏。

(1)aims and approaches; (2)design and organization; (3)language content; (4)skills; (5)topics; (6)methodology; (7)teacher’s books; (8)practical considerations。

Unit 2 The Doctor’s Son, Unit 3 A Doll for Great-Grandmother和Unit 6 A sailor’s Gift。 U1 Friendship (What is Friendship?), U2 Love (How deep is your love?) U3 Happiness (The pursuit of Happiness for the Common Good), U4 Health (How to Grow Old), U5 Education (Education in Cyberspace), U6 Intercultural Communication (Culture Shock), U7 The Olympic Spirit (What Makes Olympic Champions?), U8 Man and Society (Competition and Cooperation)。
