【参考范文】

Nowadays, it is a common phenomenon that an increasing number of high school students open their own blogs on the Internet. It’s widely acknowledged that doing so can bring both advantages and disadvantages.

On the one hand, it benefits students in certain ways. Not only can it provide a colorful platform to show their talent, but it is a way to release pressure from study. Besides, students can communicate with others through the blogs.

On the other hand, doing so can do great harm. To begin with, managing one’s blog takes much time and energy, which are supposed to be used to study. And as a result, students’ study will be enormously affected. What’s worse, if students focus too much on their blogs, they will gradually lose face-to-face communication skills.

I approve of this activity for the reason that it allows us to obtain various abilities. Blog itself is of little harm and it is your attitude towards it that matters.

听力原文:

(text 1)

W: Will the band play for about two hours?

M: No. This time the concert is over in an hour and a half.

(text 2)

M: Can you believe the way Mary was talking to her roommate? No wonder they don’t get along. W: Well, maybe Mary was just reacting to something her roommate said. There are two sides to every story, you know.

(Text 3)

W: Did you tell Carl that the football game will be starting late?

M: I’ve tried several times, but the line has been busy.

(Text 4)

W: When are you leaving tomorrow?

M: I’ll take the early flight at 8 in the morning and I’ll be seein g my parents just two hours after that. So, I must get up at 6 tomorrow morning.

(Text 5)

M: The subway is running behind schedule, and the traffic is backed up for blocks. I don’t know if we’ll make the 7:15 show.

W: It’s a beautiful night. Let’s try to get there on foot. And if we don’t make it, let’s just have dinner near the theater.

(Text 6)

W: Hello, John. How are you feeling now?

M: Awful.

W: Shall I open the window? It’s a lovely day today.

M: No, thank you. Susan, I’m feeling cold.

W: A glass of hot water?

M: No, thanks.

W: Shall I turn the heat on?

M: Yes, please. Will you turn it up high?

W: Are you sure? It’s very warm in here.

M: I feel very cold. Will you get me another blanket, please?

W: Here you are. Shall I put it on the quilt or round your shoulders?

M: Neither. Put it over my head, please.

W: OK. Achoo!

(Text 7)

W: Look, Mom has left a note with things for us to do while she and Dad are away this weekend. M: Let’s see---tidy up the garage and clean the backyard.

W: She doesn’t say which we should do first.

M: Hey, we are not robots! We can make our own plan as long as everything gets done.

W: OK. What do we do today and what do we do tomorrow?

M: Look at the newspaper.

W: Why?

M: Read the weather report on the front page.

W: Hmm. Sunny today, cloudy tonight, probable heavy rain tomorrow. Well, that makes it easy.

We work outside today and inside tomorrow.

M: Yep. Let’s get started. I want to go to the mall this afternoon.

(Text 8)

W: Oh, of course, thank you. Let’s find one m ore person... Maybe that man over there. Excuse me.

Can I ask you a few questions about your health?

M: What? What? What? Do you think I have a health problem?

W: Um. Do you have a problem?

M: I can’t sleep at night. I just lost 30 pounds. I’ve been on a diet for almost a year now. I have to go running for two hours a day. But I miss what I used to eat.

W: What did you use to eat?

M: Pizzas, burgers... I used to eat ice cream before going to bed. I know that’s the reason I can’t sleep well. No ice cream, no sleep. What I am going to do?

W: Um... I think you should talk to your doctor. Thank you and good luck.

(Text 9)

M: Excuse me, ma’am?

W: Yes?

M: Um. I wonder if you could help me. I’m trying to find a pub called Grey Friar’s Bobby. It’s on High street.

W: That’s right. I’ll just show you. Now you’re on Princess Street. What you have to do is just walk along a little bit and then turn right, and you go up the Mond, up that hill there, and then past that building.

M: The Mond, I see. The Mond is the name of a road, isn’t it?

W: That’s right. And you walk past Assembly Hall. You can see it up on the hill, if you just look up to your right there.

M: That big white building up there?

W: Yeah. You just keep on walking past a post office, and then you go across High Street, or the Royal Mike, as we call it.

M: Across it?

W: That’s right. You just keep going, and up on your right hand side, you’ll see a small supermarket, and the monument to Grey Friar’s Bobby. You know, it’s a little dog.

M: Ok, a dog.

W: Well, if you go past the supermarket, the pub is just there next to a bookstore. I think you’ll find it quite easily.

M: Great! I really appreciate it. Thanks a lot.

W: OK. Goodbye.

(Text 10)

W: Good morning. My name is Julie Hartwell, and I’m going to talk to you today about your firefighter training program. The program lasts for three months. During the time, you’ll learn about ladder safety and some equipment. The college has over two acres of grounds, where we can create real fires for students to practice on---under safe conditions, of course. We will learn how to fight fires on trains, fires in buildings and fires at petrol stations. This is a very important part of the course because it helps to get used to working in very hot, smoky places. If you want to apply for this course, you must be 18 years of age or over, have a full driving license and be very fit. You must also be able to work as a part of a team and be able to solve problems in very difficult situations. The other thing you need to remember before applying for this course is that you will often be working when your friends are enjoying themselves. If you have any questions, please

come and see me in my office, which is Room 116 on the first floor.
