摘要：“激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣”在新课程标准中被列为基础教育阶段英语课程任务的第一条。可见，学习兴趣在学生的学习中具有十分重要的作用。中学英语教师首先应该先去激发和培养学生的学习兴趣，提高学生主动参与的积极性。本文根据中学生兴趣的特点和英语学科的特点，结合教育实践与感受，总结了中学生英语学习兴趣形成的几方面策略。

心理学家告诉我们，兴趣是人们对客观事物的选择和态度，是积极认识某种事物或参加某种活动的心理倾向，是调动学生积极思维、探求知识、不断提高自身能力的内在动力。爱因斯坦说：“兴趣和爱好是获得知识的动力。”这句话是对兴趣作用的高度概括。一个对英语学科怀有浓厚兴趣的学生，他会把学习与研究英语作为自己的主攻方向，孜孜以求长期不变，甚至终生不移，最终有所建树。学习兴趣的产生，离不开学生主体，但教师的培养和激发也不可或缺。所以，在英语教学实施过程中，教师应力求做到“课伊始，趣已生；课正行，趣正浓；课已毕，趣犹存”，让学生爱学、乐学。
