外研版新教材介绍与解读

新修订外研版高中英语教材的变化及特色:

修订教材在主题内容、单元结构和整体特色上有较大改进和显著变化,体现在:

1.修订教材根据新的课程标准要求,更加系统、全面地呈现、覆盖“人与自然”“人与社会”“人与自我”的三大主题语境及其依托话题,不仅完整保留了在用教材的重要话题,进一步凸显了相应主题,还大量新增了话题鲜活、主题鲜明的新材料。

2.修订教材实质性地重构了单元结构,以更好地符合学生在整个单元学习过程中主题探究、认知发展、语言学习的基本规律和过程。

3.修订教材在整体特色上更加鲜明,即贴近真实、发展中的世界;贴近鲜活、多样化的社会;贴近思考、成长中的学生。

本修订教材从四个方面对原教材作了继承、改善和突破,体现为以下四个突出特色:

第一,进一步发挥“主题”在驱动学习、联结活动、促动实践中的核心作用。

第二,立足语篇,丰富体裁。提升学科核心素养,关键问题之一即为丰富文本体裁,使学生接触各类型的语篇,丰富语言感知与学习体验。基于此,我们在本套教材中特别增加了一定数量的文学体裁文本和网络体裁文本。

第三,创新活动设计,指向学科核心素养,严格落实新课程标准规定的英语学习活动观,围绕主题语境,基于多模态语篇,将听、说、读、看、写等各项技能要求和训练落实到有意义的学习活动中,帮助学生在获取信息、处理信息的同时掌握语言技能、建构完善的知识基础,同时提升语境下语言活动中的语言技能实践能力,包括《课标》中新提出的“看(viewing)”的能力要求。

第四,突出文化意识(尤其是跨文化意识)的建构与发展。我们在教材修订中注重在语篇中体现热点话题、典型篇章、经典语言,注重英语历史文化中名人名篇的选取及现代热点话题下的英语鲜活篇章和结构的介绍,让学生了解英语反映的英美等国的社会和文化。同时,我们秉承让学生能够用英语讲好中国故事的理念,注意对中国文化、中国故事、中国传统价值观和世界问题的中国视角的介绍。通过比较中外文化,帮助学生更好地理解文化异同,拓展国际视野,学会理解和包容不同文化,积极学习,提升文化自信、道路自信,将文化知识内化为正确的文化价值观和有利于国家、个人发展的跨文化态度与意识。

总之,外研版高中《英语》教材编写团队的共同目标是用实践检验真理,在理解、落实《课标》的基础上,做出一套有国际水准、符合时代要求,特别是让教师和学生觉得好用的教材。希望此套新时代“以人为本”的新教材能够对基础外语教学和中国的课程改革产生积极的促进作用!

学上的一些突出矛盾和问题,并反映出这两者之间是如何协调和解决的。

《课标》实际是一种认识和判断。我们认为现在组织活动是问题的抓手和关键,但不等于说一切都只按照活动观的方式来进行。大家拿到新教材,不要拿着放大镜去找哪里体现了活动观,哪部分培养了学生的哪些素养,而应建构对教材的整体认识,回归到教学最基本的过程中去。虽然教师的教学实践本身主要是“拆解”:理解教材活动,解读文本,把教学重难点转化成比较利于学生学习的形态,然后通过一定的程序和过程体现在课堂教学中。然而,教师不能“只拆不合”。进行拆解工作之前,教师首先要对教材本身的整体理念有一个基本的把握。不管新教材修订得多完美,在真正使用教材时,教师需要特别注意自己是否对教材形成了基本的、指导性的、原则性的理解,是否可以用语言表述对教学行为有指导意义的教学原则,而不是仅仅处理技术问题,否则就会失去对话语的判断能力。总之,教师对教材设计的基本原则和特点有所把握是非常重要的。
