意大利英文介绍

Hello,everyone!Today,we are going to introduce Italy to you.At first,let us have a general understanding of Italy.

Italy is the birthplace of the Roman Empire; Rome was established in 753 BC. In 1861, the kingdom of Italy is declared. The Italian republic was unified in 1870 and founded on June 2, 1946.Italy is in southern Europe .There are 600,000 people in Italy. Main population is Italian. Most of them speak Italian, some speak French and German. Most people believe in the Catholic.Italy is the industrial developed country to iron and steel, petrochemical, automobile, shipbuilding, aircraft, the most important for manufacturing, followed by the textile, food processing. Most of the industrial distribution is in the north.(30)

Then,we are going to get a knowledge about Rome.

Rome is the capital of Italy and the country's largest and most populated city and commune, with over 2.7 million residents in 1,285.3 km2 . The city is located in the central-western portion of the Italian Peninsula, on the Tiber River within the Lazio region of Italy.Rome constitutes one of Italy's 8,101 communes, and is the largest both in terms of land area and population. It is governed by a mayor, currently Gianni Alemanno, and a city council. The seat of the commune is the Palazzo Senatorio on the Capitoline Hill. Rome is the only city in the world to contain in its interior a whole state:the Vatican City.(5)

China has a lot of holidays,Italy has holidays too.Let’s know about a holiday in Italy.

Festa della Repubblica is the Italian National Day, which is celebrated on the 2nd of June each year. The day commemorates the institutional referendum held by universal suffrage in 1946, in which the Italian people were called to the polls to decide on the form of government, following the Second World War and the fall of Fascism. To commemorate it, a grand military parade is held in central Rome, presided over by the President of the Italian Republic in his role as Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. There are important celebrations in all the Italian embassies and foreign heads of state are invited. Even though in Rome there is the most important parade, many Italian cities celebrate the Republic Day as well.(18)

There are lot of food in Italy.I think the famous one must be Pasta. Let’s listen to Milse and know what is Pasta.

Pasta is a type of noodle and is a staple food of traditional Italian cuisine, with the first reference dating to 1154 in Sicily. Another name of it is Spaghetti.It has many types. Some are straight; some are like butterflies, and also some are like shells. There are four kinds of sauces. Tomato Sauce, Pesto Sauce, Cream Sauce, Squid-Ink Sauce. It is the same as noodles, have a lot of Carbohydrate. Some pasta dishes are served as a first course in Italy because the portion sizes are small and simple. Pasta is also prepared in light lunches, such as salads or large portion

sizes for dinner.And when I went to Italy some years ago, I ate pasta.
