There are a variety of elective courses at colleges. However, different people have different views in regard to merit and demerit of elective courses.

Some people think that elective courses have more advantages than disadvantages because it can make students learn more knowledge they have not involved. Besides, it can also improve students' creativity and develop their minds and so on.
