Unit8 Why don’t you get her a scarf?

Step 1:预习交流——精讲点拨

1、How about some tennis balls?

How about 的基本涵义是“怎样”,其具体用法如下:

(1).how about 用于询问或征询意见等,相当于what about ,后接名词、代词或动词的ing 形式,译为“……怎么样”、“……好不好”。如: I like playing football. How about yo u? 我喜欢踢足球。你呢?

(2).表示评价或推荐一些东西。如:

A: I’d like a new skirt.

B: How about this red one?

A: It’s nice.

2、enough的用法

1)enough用作副同,充当形容词或副词修饰语,但必须后置。如:

①He walks slowly enough. 他走得够慢的了。

②This article is difficult enough to write.这篇文章够难写的了。

2)enough用作代词,既可代表可数名词,也可代表不可数名词。如:At the end of six months he had learned enough to read articles and re ports in Russian. 六个月底,他已经学得足以用俄语读文章和报告了

3)enough用作形容词作定语时,可修饰可数名词或不可数名词,可放在被修饰的名词前或后。如

There are enough seats(seats enough)for them all.有足够的座位让他们都坐下。

1.建议的表达方式

(1)What about...?/How about...?用这个句型提出建议,about后需接名词或动名词,意为“……怎么样?”或“……好不好?”如:

What about another piece of pie? 再来一块馅饼好吗?

What about inviting him here? 把他邀请到这来怎么样?

(2)用“Why not...?”来表示建议,意为“为什么不……? 何不……?”not后面要接动词原形。“Why not...?”实际上是“Why don't we/you...?”的简略形式。如:

Why not have a rest if you are tired? 如果你累了为什么不休息休息呢?

Why don't we stay here another day? 我们为什么不在这儿再呆一天呢?
