Dear editor,
I’m writing to tell you about the discussion we’ve had about whether students retake classes after failing the college entrance examination.
Opinions are divided on the question. Most of the students are against the idea of retaking classes .They think it is unfair for the students who take the exam for the first time. Besides, it also adds the family burden; What’s more, they are different from tho se taking the exam for the first, for they have failed once. So, they have much more mental pressure and often something is always wrong with many of them.
On the other hand, some think that it can be done because through one-year-hard work , they can get a chance to enter a famous university. Above all, what kind of the university will directly affect the future employment.
However, I think, this depends on different situations. If one student has no chance to be admitted to one university, maybe he can choose to do so. But, we know many students who have got high scores also want to. Perhaps there’s no need and we should forbid it.
