First and foremost、So far、Just as a coin has two sides等等。

Part I Writing(30minutes)

It's well known to us that...

Recently,...has been brought to popular attention/has become the focus of public concern.

One of the universal issues we are faced with/that cause increasing concern is that... People's view/opinions/ideas on...vary from person to person. Some people think that...they hold this opinion because...However,others hold that...

A is to

B what

C is to D

According to...,but there is no evidence whatsoever to show...

The example cited, while suggestive of these trends,is insufficient to warrant their truth because there is no reason to belivev that the data drawn form...is representative of...

As it stands, this argument suffers from three critical flaws.

In my opinion,it is more advisable to do...than to do

Taking into account all these factors,we may reasonably come to the conclusion that...

It is time to take the advice of...and to put special emphasis on the improvement of... We should solve the problems that we are confronted/faced with

It is high time that we put an end to...Otherwise,...

(比如写结尾时不用we should pay attention to而用Attention should be paid to.)

It is,therefore,high time that some

applicable approaches were implemented by the service industry like that.By doing so,its competitive edge will be sharpened effectively.

如however/therefore/for example/I believe做插入语放在中间,一般放在动词,

Other individuals,however,take the attitude that…

bad,many,thing,think,

people,opinion等等)比如上面例子中,applicable替换proper,approaches替换ways,implement替换carry out,sharpen one’s competitive edge替换enhance one’s competitiveness(提高某物竞争力)

Calculate for a moment what could be done with even a part of those hours. Five thousand hours, I am told, are what a typical college undergraduate spends working on a bachelor's degree. In 10,000 hours you could have learned enough to become an astronomer or engineer. You could have learned several languages fluently. If it appealed to you, you could be reading Homer in the original Greek or Dostoyevsky in Russian. If it didn't, you could have walked around the world and written a book about it. The trouble with television is that it discourages concentration. Almost anything interesting and rewarding in life requires some constructive, consistently applied effort. The dullest, the least gifted of us can achieve things that seem miraculous to those who never concentrate on anything. But Television encourages us to apply no effort. It sells us instant gratification(满意). It diverts us only to divert, to make the time pass without pain. Television's variety becomes a narcotic(麻醉的), nor a stimulus. Its serial, kaleidoscopic (万花筒般的)exposures force us to follow its lead. The viewer is on a perpetual guided tour: 30 minutes at the museum, 30 at the cathedral, 30 for a drink, then back on the bus to the next attraction—except on television., typically, the spans allotted arc on the order of minutes or seconds, and the chosen delights are more often car crashes and people killing one another. In short, a lot of television usurps(篡夺;侵占) one of the most precious of all human gifts, the ability to focus your attention yourself, rather than just passively surrender it. Capturing your attention—and holding it—is the prime motive of most television programming and enhances its role as a profitable advertising vehicle. Programmers live in constant fear of losing anyone's attention—anyone's. The surest way to avoid doing so is to keep everything brief, not to strain the attention of anyone but instead to provide constant stimulation through variety, novelty, action and movement. Quite

2016 年 12 月大学英语四级考试真题(第一套) Part I Writing (30 minutes)( 请于正式开考后半小时内完成该部分,之后将进行听 力考试 ) Directions:For this part, you are allowed30 minutes to write an essay.Suppose you have two options upon graduation:one is to take a job in a company and the other to go to a graduate school. You are to make a choice between the two.Write an essay to explain the reasons for your choice. You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words. Much controversy has been aroused about whether the students should find a job or start their own business after graduation.Taking a look around,we can find that some graduates bustle around job markets, while others choose to run a shop on TMall. However, I prefer the former choice. From my perspective, there are good reasons to find a job in the first several years after their graduation.First and foremost, if a graduate intends to accumulate working experience and learn from the seniors, it is advisable for him to find a job. It is an undeniable fact that the theoretical knowledge will provide the graduates with the ability to consider things comprehensively, however, only under the integration with practice can the rigid knowledge be useful for their future development. Inevitably, doing something small is the premise of undertaking something great. Take Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba and taobao, for example. He also finds some jobs before establishing his own career, laying a solid foundation for his later success. Consequently,it is of great necessity to find a job after graduation.I firmly believe that it will continue to bring about more returns to our life and future. Part II Listening Comprehension (25 minutes) Section A
