What name shall I say?
May I have your name please?
I’m sorry. I didn’t catch your name。
Are you Mr. White. Hi I’m Kiele from ABC Company. Let me introduce a friend of mine。
第一天到公司上班,You must be nervous。
Peter: Good Morning. May I introduce myself? My name's Peter King and I'm new here。
Anna: Pleased to meet you. I'm Anna White, the assistant to the Personnel Manager. Welcome to our company。
在formal正式场合中, 要用:Good morning/afternoon或How do you do,同时要shaking hands“握握手”来显示你的sincerity诚意。
May I introduce myself? My name's Peter King,你还可以说:Let me introduce myself. My name's Peter. 或者I'm Peter。
Peter: Could you introduce me to the Manager?
Susan: Of course. Mr. King... Mr. White, let me introduce you to Mr. Peter King, the new clerk in your department。
White: How do you do. I'm Alex White. We're going to be working together。
Peter: How do you do. I've been looking forward to meeting you, Mr. White。
Could you introduce me to sb.?

1、I haven't met your Managing Director yet.
2、I don't know anyone here. You'll have to introduce me。
1、Let me introduce you to our Managing Director。
2、I'll introduce you to our Managing Director , this is Mr. Johnson, our MD。
对了,是:Nice to meet you。
I've heard a lot about you. 当然用Glad to meet you. 或Pleased to meet you. 来替代Nice to meet you。
1、It was very nice to have met you.
2、It was nice meeting you.
3、Hope to see you again

The economy is shaky -- and it may feel like your job is, too.

Whether you're already job hunting or believe you may need to soon, there are steps you can take to make yourself more attractive to potential employers. Here are eight tips from the experts on increasing your marketability:

1. Use your name as your brand, especially in email.
Don't confuse potential employers by using your maiden name on your resume and your married name in your email. And the nickname your friends find funny may not look professional.

"Manager jobs don't go to people with cute email addresses," said Marianne Adoradio, a recruiter and career counselor.

Marianne Adoradio

2.Meet an employer's need.
Employers "want a round peg for the round hole," said Kathryn Ullrich, a career expert and executive recruiter.

You may want to stretch yourself by trying a job you've never done before, but there's not much in that for the employer. Any time you apply for a job, make sure you can tell a story about your career that shows why you would be the best person for the job. "It's really about what the employer is looking for," Ullrich said.

3. Maintain a smart online profile.
"All that stupid stuff you put on Facebook -- take it off," said Richard Phillips, owner of Advantage Career Solutions. At the same time, find industry blogs and forums and start contributing comments.

4. Ask for help.
"Ask everyone for one thing they would suggest you do if they were in your shoes," Adoradio said. "It seems to reveal things that you wouldn't have thought to ask."

5. Become active in a professional association.
This means doing more than paying dues and showing up for meetings. Find a way to help: For example, perhaps you can organize expert speakers in your field to be on a panel. It will boost your resume, build you self-esteem and give you valuable connections. "You're building up relationships with people who are going to hire you," Ullrich said.

6. Take a class or get a certificate.
This is especially helpful if it teaches you a skill -- new technology that's being used in your field, for example -- that you don't already have.

7. Take on a new project at work.
It should be "something that lets you add something new to your resume," Phillips said. "Think in terms of the resume that you're going to be writing. What do you want to have on there that isn't on there now?"

8. Be flexible.
You may not want to commute more than 10 miles, but being willing to bend a bit will open up more opportunities. It will also make you a more attractive candidate because it signals to employers that you're able to handle change.

Wednesday – not Monday – is the worst day of the week, according to research by two American applied mathematicians.

Professors Christopher Danforth and Peter Dodds, of Vermont University, analysed words used in 2.4 million internet blogs such as Twitter, giving a score out of nine depending on how positive they were.

Words like free, fun, and rainbow all scored above eight, while words such as betray, cruel, hatred and suffocate all scored less than two.

Saturday and Sunday rated predictably well but, perhaps surprisingly, Monday came out as the second happiest day of the week, partly because people were still reminiscing about the weekend. However by Wednesday, these feelings had subsided.

Professor Danforth said: “People's daily experience is being reflected somewhat in what they're saying. And this is more of a story, we think, for Twitter messages, which we've just started to pay attention to, about a year ago.

”They think they are communicating with friends, but since blogs are public we're just looking over their shoulders.

“The weekends tend to be fairly happy and Wednesday turned out to be the saddest day.”

He said using the internet in this way enabled them to rate happiness based on higher numbers of people than previous studies.

“What we're attempting to do is measure collective happiness on a much larger scale, similar to measuring the temperature outside,” Professor Danforth said.

“The energy of a few molecules bouncing around doesn't give a good indication of heat, you need billions or more.”

The first thing would be to stop feeling guilty about not being able to spend too much time with your kids. Remember, the quality time spent together is always more important than quantity time.

Never ever resort to using money or gifts, as a compensation for your absence. It will not only spoil the children, but also make them lose the importance of money in life.

Having a helping hand is always a good idea. However, make sure that the domestic help you are hiring is dependable.

Learn the art of time management. They will go a long way in maintaining the balance between office and home.

Find small little ways of connecting with your child, like call him/her daily from office, go for a little walk after dinner to discuss how was his/her day, and so on.

Make it a point that ever week, you dedicate at least one day for your children. For instance, plan your Sunday in such a way that while in the morning you spend time with your family doing household chore, in the evening all of you move out for a family dinner or a family outing.

Do not forget to spend some time on yourself. It is very important for you to be in a good shape, in order to fulfill your r

esponsibilities
.

1.You're in the pink!
You're in the pink!"

2.He is bouncy.
而不说"He is energetic"。 I get mind of you."比"I heard a lot about you."

3.Did you get lost?
若说"Did you get lost?"

4.Do you have the time?
别人征求你的意见,问能否开窗户等,你要是说"You can do that." Do you have the time?" May I have your name?"要比"What's your name?"

5.I would rather not say.
It's my secret, don't ask such a personal question." I would rather not say."(还是别说了吧)。

6.It's on the tip of my tongue.
Well…"、"Let me see."、"Just a moment."或"It's on the tip of my tongue."

7. While I remember…
To change the subject"、"Before I forget"、"While I remember"、"Mind you"都是既地道又受欢迎的表达。

8. I got it.
用"I got it." I'm not clear about it."。 It's past my understanding."

9. The meeting was scheduled for two hours, but it is not over yet.

10. Would you care to see it/sit down for a while?

11. I'm supposed to go on a diet/get a raise.

12. I'm afraid that it's not going to work out.

13. Do you mind if I take tomorrow off?

14. It really

depends on who is in charge.
