1,Hold up the puppet of Mocky and say “This is Mocky.Hello,Mocky.”Model the name Mocky and indicate that the children are to listen only .Model twice then have children repeat after you.

2,Point to Ken and say,”This is Ken.Hi,Ken”Modelthe name Ken at least twice then have the children repeat after the teacher.

3,Point to Ann and repeat the step above to model the nane Ann.

4,Review the names of the key characters by pointing to each one and asking.”Who ins this?”

1,Hold up the puppet of Mocky and indicate that he is greeting and introducing himself to the class,say”Hi,I’m Mocky.”Model the structure”Hi,I’m mocky” and indicate that children are to listen only.Model at least twice then have children repeat after you.

2,Hold up the character mask of Ken/Ann/Uncle Booky and repeat the step to model the puppet of Mocky.

Game 1 Guess the cards

1.Make six cards with words“Am, Ken, Uncle Book, Mocky, Hi, I’m Mocky.

Hello, Mocky”. And put it on the desk,

2.Place 4---6 students in group. Somebody can guess the first ca rd’s meaning,

If the answer is correct and all of the students can touch the card; if the answer isn’t right and all of the students can’t touch it.

3.The last one is winner.

Game 2 Catch the chairs

1.Have eight students sake seven chairs to the middle of classroom, make the chairs to a circle.

2.The eight students are stand up behind the chairs. Listen to the music and walk around the circle.

3.Stop listening and say“sit down”, if someone can’t sit down any chairs, they will be out.

4.Continue say“sit down”, and move out one chair,

Game 3 Who’s missing?

1.Have students know the four masks, show the three masks to students and ask“Who’s missing?”

2.Place students in groups of four and ask them to play the game: which group spend the least time and the

answer is correct ,the group will be the winner.

3.In the same method, review the words of this unit, example“apple, ant, banana, balloon”.

4.Get the hightest scores person who is the winner in the group.

Game 4 Match the words

1.Make six cards with the relative words in the below. Ann, Mocky, Ken, apple, balloon, ant.

2.Make the cards to disorderly and put it on the blackboard, Give mark to each card.

3.Students can call two words, if them call the relative word, and then show it to students.

2.With children sitting down and books closed,say the following commands and have children followi each one. “Girls,open your books. Boys,stand up.Girls,close your books.”

Step 2 Presentation (1)

1.Hold up each flashcard for this Unit and ask, “What’s this?” Elicit, “It’s a (pencil).”

2.Place the flashcard on the blackboard. Now say, “Point to a (book).Have them point to the objects your name.

3.The children close their eyes. Remove one of the flashcards. Now ask, “What’s missing?” Have children call out the name of the missing object.

Step 3 Practice (1)

Hold up the flashcards for this unit and elicit the corret name from the children.

Now hold up the flashcard for a book. Ask, “Is it a pencil?”Have the children answer, “No.”“Is it a bok?”This time indicate the children answer “ Yes.” Repeat with other flashcards.

2.Tell the children that they are going to play a game.

3.Listen and act.(student book page 20)

(1)Hold up the puppets of uncle Booky and Mocky.Play the first sentence in the tape. Pretend to be Mocky and do it as required.

(2)Play the tape again and children to listen point to the right picture on their books.

1.Sing the song.(student book page 21)

(1)Read the words to the children,pointing to each word.

(2)Play the tape for the whole song and have listen and respnd physically to the command. They should point to the objects in the classroom when they are mentioned.

1.With the children sitting down in a circle,begin chanting, “book,chair,bag,pencil,stand up.”The children stand up when they say this command.

2.Now children chant the words individually.

3.The next child begins with “Book”and the chant continues with the fifth person in the circle always standing up. Continue until everyone is standing up.

(1)Read the rhyme to the children, point to each word.

(2)Explain the main idea of the rhyme to the students.

(3)Play the tape for the whole rhyme and have children listen and point to the words and the matching pictures

on the page.

(4)Play the tape again and have children join in, encouraging them to clap to keep the rhythm.

(5)Let children imitate the rhyme and learn it as a whole.

(6)Add some actions when chanting the rhyme and ask children to act it out .

Step 4 Practice

1.Pin some pictures on the blackboard (frog, fish, elephant etc).point to a child and say“Show me a (fish).”Continue with other vocabulary items taught in this Unit.

2.Say “open your books” and have children follow the command and look at the pictures on the page.

3.Have the children find the fish on their books and then trace it. Repeat with other picture.

4.Have children color their drawings and share them with the rest of the class.
