People hold various opinions on the purpose of life. Some think that they live for money, some for fame, some for fun. As to my opinion, I live for experiences, for experiences enable me to understand the true meaning of life.

The first reason of my belief is that money and fame are not adequate for leading a happy life. l see that many people obsessed with money and fame have no interest or time to enjoy

family life, friend ship, sightseeing and things like that. Money is important in life, but the money-only idea leads to a monotonous life. Sometimes, extreme money seekers or fame followers violate the law and hurt others for that end. Secondly, living just for fun is also unacceptable to me. Humans are different from animals in that they have feelings and emotions. In variably avoiding sadness and anger only makes people dull and less sensible.

Now I will come back to my pointliving for various experiences, whether they are failures or successes, happiness or grieves. To learn from all the experiences, to gain self-content in all the happenings, and to enjoy life from different angles, you will find your life worthwhile and meaningful

Life is never just being.It is becoming a relentless, flowing on.Our parents live on through us,and we will live on through our children.The institutions we build endure,and we will endure through them.The beauty we fashion cannot be dimmed by death.Our flesh may perish,our hands will wither,but that which they creat in beauty and goodness and truth lives on for all time to come.

Don't spend and waste your lives accumulating objects that will only turn to dust and ashes.Pusue not so much the material as the ideal,for ideals alone invest life with meaning and are of enduring worth. Add love to a house and you have a home.Add righteousness to a city and you have a community.Add truth to a pile of red brick and you have a school.Add religion to the hublest of edifices and you have a sanctuary.Add justice to the far-flung round of human endeavor and you have civilization.Put them all together,exalt them above their present imperfections, add to them the vision of humankind redeemed,forever free of need and strife and you have a future lighted with the radiant colors of hope.

Money and the Meaning of Life Recently, a professor of philosophy in the United States has writte n a book called Money and the Meanlng of Life. He has discovered that how we deal with money i n our day-to-day life has more meaning than we usually think. One of the exercises he asked his st udents to do is to keep a record of every penny they spend for a week.From the way they spend th eir money, they can see what they really value in life. He says our relation with others often becom es clearly defined when money enters the picture. Y ou might have a wonderful friendship with so mebody and you think that you are very good friends. But you will know him only when you ask h im to lend you some money. If he does, it brings something to the relationship that seems stronger than ever before. Or it can suddenly weaken the relationship if he doesn’t. This person may say tha t he has a certain feeling, but if it is not carried out in the money world, there is something less rea l about it. People just have an idea of making more and more money, but what is it for? How much do I need for any given purposes in my life7 In his book, the professor uncovered an important ne ed in modern society: to bring back the idea that money is an instrument rather than the end.
