1) A: Good morning. I don't think we have met before. May I introduce myself? I'm Tom.

B: Nice to meet you. My name is Bella.

2) A: Hi! Nice to meet you. Nice day, isn't it?

B:Yeah, couldn't be more pleasant. Nice to meet you, too.

与原句意思相近的表达还有:

It's wonderful to see you. It's lovely to meet you.

与之对应的回答有:

Same here. Likewise. Same to you.

与陌生人搭讪时,老外通常喜欢用天气作为开场白,最后结尾时会说Nice meeting you.(很高兴理解你。)或者Nice talking with you.(很高兴与你交谈。)

千万要注意这句与Nice to meet you.是有区别的,后者主要用于开始一段对话,Nice meeting you.则意味着结束一段对话。

3) A: Harry , how're you doing?

B: Good, how're you doing?

A: I'm doing fine.

4) A: Long time no see. How are you doing?

B: Fine.

除了How're you doing?之外,老外还常说:

How have you been? How's it going? How are you getting on?

问候家人还能够用:How's your family?

此外,如果想表示自己最近状态非常好,还能够说:

Everything is going pretty well. 一切顺利。

Things just couldn't be better.好得不能再好了。

5)A: I can't believe you are leaving now. I won't be able to see you in two months.

B: Oh, come on. Give me a hug.

6)A:Baby, give me a hug.

B: I'm going to miss you so much.

Give me a hug一般仅限于很亲密的朋友或家人之间,当然,拥抱时不一定要先

这么说,有时对方仅仅张开双臂,说一句Come here,也是要拥抱一下的意思。

这句话还能够说成:

Give a squeeze. Give me a bear hug.

与此类似的一个表达是Give me five!意为“击个掌吧!”它是Give me five fingers!

的缩略形式,意指双方举手相互击掌,用于打招呼或者相互庆贺。因为是举手击掌,所以也称为high five。

7)A:How are you doing? I haven't seen you for ages.

B: Not bad. How about you?

8)A: I haven't seen you for ages. Fancy meeting you here.

B: Yeah, It's been a while. Where have you been?

“好久不见”除了上面说到的两种说法,还能够说:

I haven't seen you in a while.

It's been a while since I've seen you.

表达初次见面的惊喜能够说:

Good to see you again. It's nice to see you again.

Great to see you again.

表达不期而遇则能够说:

What a small world!

初次见面,礼节是很重要的。如果他人问候说“很高兴见到你。”,

除了用My pleasure.回答外,我们还能够说My honor.或者It's my honor.

“很高兴见到你”一般用在两人刚见面的时候,或者交谈了一会儿要

分别的时刻。比较正式的说法有:

I'm honored to have known you.

I'm so pleased to make your acquaintance.

老外与好朋友相遇时,还会用下列表达来询问近况:

How's everything?

What's happening?

How have you been?

有时,好友相遇也会用What's up?来打招呼,但是在使用时需要注意,What's up?有时也用来询问发生什么事情了,相当于What's going on?或者What happened?

当他人询问最近生活怎么样时,我们还会说“我很好”,而老外则一般会回答

说:I'm on top of the world.或Couldn't be better.其中on top of the world是一个习语,字面意思是“世界点”,常引申为“幸福到极点,欣喜若狂”;与此类似的表达还有over the moon。

想表达自己当前生活一般,没什么可抱怨的,老外一般会说:

Not bad.

Just so so

Can't complain.

15)A: Henry, What have you been up to?

B: Oh, not much.

B: You know, just getting prepared for the coming mid-term exam.

询问他人最近在忙什么事情,除了用上面提到的句子之外,老外还常常会说:

What have you been doing lately?

What's been going on?

What are you doing with yourself these days?

up to单独使用的时候,有“直到,多达”的意思,如:

They can work for up to four months during their school break.他们能够在学校放假期间工作达四个月。

17)A: Your friend looks really gorgeous.

B: I know . And you know what, he is my age.

B:Nice to meet you. I heard a lot about you.

如果要表达”这些小孩子一样大”还能够说:These children are of an age.其中an还能够替换为the same。

同龄人能够用peer或peer group表示,如:

The effect of peer pressure cannot be underestimated.同龄人的压力作用不容小觑。

I'm their peer.我跟他们同龄。

如果说某人看起来比实际年龄大,则能够说:

She looks older than she is.

She looks old for her age.

如果主人对你的到来表示了热切的欢迎,作为客人的我们,应该怎样回应才显得礼貌:It's good to be here.

Thank you for your hospitality.谢谢你的热情招待。

It's very kind of you to treat me.谢谢你的招待。

1. Ask the students and their partners to practice the sentences patterns again and again, the teacher walks around to check and guide.

2. Ask the students use the sentences patterns and some words they look up in the dictionary to make dialogues. The teacher will find 3-4 pairs to show their dialogues and give scores.

设计意图:小学英语新课程标准强调指出:英语教学要重视对学生实际语言运用能力的培养,强调课程从学生的学习兴趣、生活经验和认识水平出发,倡导体验、实践、参与、合作与交流的学习方式和任务型的教学途径,发展学生的综合语言运用能力。也就是说,要通过适合儿童年龄、心理和生理特点的生动活泼的课堂活动,把学习英语与用英语做事情联系起来,创设良好的语言环境和语用环境,使学生在愉快和自信的情绪中,保持积极的学习态度,在大量的语言实践中形成语感,养成良好的英语学习习惯。 这是我们贯彻―新课程标准‖,运用―新课程标准‖教学的关键所在。 我将本课教学分为以下几个环节: 一、课前寻找、激发兴趣 本课涉及的生词不多,但它和我们的生活息息相关,一提出问题就收到了意想不到的效果,同学们马上就想知道平常我们口中称呼的爸爸、妈妈、爷爷、奶奶的英语叫法。我没有告诉他们答案,让他们自己去找。象dad(爹地), mom(妈咪)这些称呼在他们接触英语前都从港台电视上所熟知。上课时百分之百的同学会说dad(爹地), mom(妈咪),大多数同学会说(uncle)安可,(aunt)安娣。从一开始就刺激了同学们强烈的好奇心,使他们产生强烈的求知欲。 二、歌曲导入、初步感知 唱英语歌是学习英语的一种好方法。课前一首歌,可以使学生精神饱满,思想集中,做好上课准备。课中一首歌,不仅能减轻学生的心理负荷,减少疲劳,又使学生在轻松愉快的气氛中学会新词、新句型。课外几首歌,有利于开展第二课堂活动,以巩固所学知识。例:教学本课时,我们以歌曲导入,播放―Boy and Girl‖:―I‘m a boy and you are a girl. I‘m a girl and you are a boy. Do you want to be my friend?‖根据歌词中提到的boy, girl出示男孩,女孩的图片,并让说到该性别单词的学生站起来大声说。在这种活泼欢快的气氛中,在这种互动的形式下,既训练了学生―听‖的能力,又让他们初步感知了有关他们性别的英语单词。 三、近交流,借物练说 用―振救大行动‖的游戏进行比赛,男女同学各一组,老师走到一个同学前问―Are a boy/girl?‖如果他/她回答正确了,就可以从―鳄鱼‖嘴里挽救回他们组的一个人[把这些虚拟的人和鳄鱼都画大黑板上],否则就被―鳄鱼‖吃掉。 在学生充分练说的基础上,让几组同桌同学试说,要求其他同学认真听,听他们说得是否符合要求,培养学生良好的听说态度和习惯。练说内容层层深入,范围逐步扩大,为学生提供自主学习和相互交流的机会及充分表现和自我发展的空间,让学生能在掌握新知的基础上,做到新旧结合,从而培养―说‖的能力。 四、课外延伸,学以致用 小学英语的最终目的是使学生掌握以交际为目的的最初步运用英语的能力。为让学生能把课上所学的知识运用到实际生活中去,我们在课后尽量让学生用英语与老师和同学作交流,如开展―英语一分钟讲坛‖,让学生谈论学校、老师、家庭及个人爱好等。用英语Asking the questions、Greetings、Conversations及用英语道谢、告别。让学生在日常生活中恰当地自然地运用英语,真正做到学以致用。 教学目标(Teaching aims): 1、Let‘s learn 能听、说、认读本课有关家庭成员的主要单词man: brother,,father(dad), grandfather(grandpa); woman: sister, mother(mom), grandmother(grandma) 2、Let‘s sing 本部分是通过学唱英文歌曲,巩固所学单词,培养学生的学习兴趣。 教学难点/重点(Teaching keys):
