(大学生求职为何难?)1.描述现状;2.分析原因;3.给出办法。More and more college students, in recent years, are finding it difficult to find jobs. This may sound strange sinc e college students used to be the "most favored" people in society. They have received a higher education, hence they are more intelligent, knowledgeable than their counterparts w ho failed to attend college. But chances are that some of them can hardly find jobs after graduating from colleges.

To solve this problem, I think college students should know their own strengths and weaknesses and have the right attitude towards themselves and the job vacancies. In additi on, they should not attach too much importance to material aspects of the job. Theyshould put priority to their future development and their contributions to society in stead. Furthe rmore, they should think of receiving some further training to meet the demands of societ y.

Nowadays, more and more university graduates complain that graduation does not e quate to employment. They experience great difficulties finding satisfactory jobs. What is t he cause of this phenomenon 。In my opinion, there are four causes:First, graduates lack experience. They spend most of their time at school studying academic subjects and lack relevant job training. Only after graduation do they realize it’s hard to find jobs.Second, competition among graduates grows more bitter and more bitter and bitter. The supply of university graduates exceeds social demand. This results in a decreased chance for any ind ividual graduate to find a job. Third, some students don’t study hard. Some of them skip classes just because they have no interest in certain subjects. Some play computer games or pursue other interests. Some sleep in class or in the library. Then they leave the shelt ered environment of the university campus, to discover they don’t have adequate knowledg e to apply for many positions, which makes them feel lost and frustrated. Finally, some g raduates are conceited. They lack experience but ask for a high salary, which is impractic al. So, university students should try their best to change this situation. When they are in school, they should make the most of their time and put their heart into their studies. T hey can hold part-time jobs in their spare time to accumulate relevant work experience. T hey should take part in some social activities and provide themselves with special training, if possible.

Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of unisexual schools.(男女分校的利与弊) Boy schools and girl schools shoot up very rapidly both in foreign countries and at home. In China, girl schools have enjoyed a very long history since one hundred years ago. Many sociologists and educationalists present their views on this issue from different angles. In this essay, I will zero in on the advantages and disadvantages of the controversial phenomenon.

Some parents prefer to send their children to boy schools or girl schools in the hope that their children can concentrate on study and acquire adequate knowledge and skills because unisexual schools can make out appropriate curriculum and courses for students according to their sexual characteristics. In some girl schools, students have a wider choice of courses such as dancing, music, embroidery and drawing, which can cultivate their feminine elegance and charm. Furthermore, students can devote themselves fully to their study and will not be distracted. Campus love affairs are very common in the current society under the influence of media. Boy schools and girl schools can eradicate contact between different sexes and purify the campus

environment.

Of course, some experts point out that boy schools and girl schools are not beneficial to the adolescent development of students. They believe that boys or girls are likely to develop their abilities and stimulate their imagination when they are studying with the opposite sexes. Besides, students can cultivate their interpersonal skills. Some other people think that separating boys from girls can cause some psychological problems to youngsters. Meanwhile, this separation affects social progress and lead to sexism. Investigation shows that graduates from unisexual schools are not aware how to get along with their colleagues in their career.

To sum up, everything has double folds. Unisexual schools are of no exception. From my point of view, I think the existence of unisexual schools meets the need of some parents. But it is definitely not a paradise for their children.

There is dispute over whether or not students are encouraged to make comments or even criticism on teachers. Some people maintain that it is a good way to improve educational quality, whereas others are confident that if students do it, the respect and discipline in the classroom will disappear. Every man will hesitate but if asked to make a choice between the two. I would not hesitate to choose the former over the latter.

There are some major causes for it. In the first instance, the improvement of students is the final goal of education. Only by giving comment on teachers’ performance can let teachers know the process of students’ development clearly. Furthermore, the criticism is the stimulus to teachers’ self-perfection and improvement in educational quality. Last but not least, the criticism itself is a kind of feedback and communication between teachers and students, lack of which will affect the educational outcome afterwards.

Although each nutshell has concave and convex sides, weighing the pros and cons of the argument, I’m inclined to agree with the former point of view although it has posed a tremendous challenge to teachers and thus the entire educational system.

If the students have courage to make comments on their teachers, they will have more confidence to conquer the difficulties in the future. As a Chinese proverb says, “the waves behind drive on those behind, so the new excels the old.” Teachers will find their own disadvantage in the teaching to again and again.

四Is it always better to be original than to imitate or use the ideas of others?

When being asked what is the way to success, Edison replied:" Success is ninety-nine percent of hard work and one percent of inspiration." What is inspiration? It is certainly not something prosaic and universal, but something original and personal. Thus, to achieve significance, creativity is needed, as we can see from the following examples.

Sherlock Holmes was a renowned fictional detective who ward innocence against evil by solving plethora of cases. The secret of Sherlock's success is nothing like imitating others but following his own way. As the sole private detective in London, or even in his contemporary world, Sherlock Holmes disdained the procedure followed by the cops in solving cases, which involved only superficial speculation and interogation, observing which few of the clues would emerge from the myth. Instead, Sherlock Holmes used his original case-solving method, which was called bohemian by some cops, like collecting seemingly unrelated clues and communicating with involved people. In this way, Sherlock Holmes integrated clues from different areas to a

complete key to the myth. In addition, he also received demographic backgrouds during the seemingly flippant interaction with people. Still, in this way, did Sherlock Holmes gained more information which could be the bedrocks for truth, while those dogmatic cops were still constrained in the old way of solving cases.

In the day of paramount competitions, one hi-tech company of electronic accessories, Apple, maintains vital and prosperous. Unlike other companies that introduce new series of products of dazzling and distinct outlook every season, Apple remains its unique style and design for every season. This easily recognized style helps Apple to gain popularity and accumulate faithful adherents: mp3 lovers wait for Shuffle; mp4 cravers await Nano or Classic; cell phone admirers are long for iPhone. Besides the recognization gained from products' classical apperance, this ground-breaking concept in manufacture also enables the company to focus more on inner software improvements, rather than desperately seaking for inspirations about designing new series. In this way, Apple gained forty five percent of electronic appliances' market.

Original in his way of unraveling cases, Sherlock Holmes was able to be closer to truth; unique in its way of marketing, Apple company gains both accailm and profit. These two examples convinced me that striving to be original is a good way to success when you are hard-working enough.

五Do people achieve more by cooperation than competition?

People usually achieve more by cooperation. Cooperation takes place on many occasions like a team, a company, a group or a nation. It’s wise for a community owns all kinds of ta lented and skillful people to deal with all kinds problems in our daily life. Even though competition happens in business, academy, sports games or other universal aspects, both history and literature have proved that cooperation is significantly crucial on the particular circumstance.

Lakers, the basketball team which obtained the championship both in 2009 and 2010 of NBA, was once far from the peak. Five years ago, there was rarely one player Kobe Bryant in Lakers who could shoot the ball accurately, control the rhythm of the match and make the last minute kill. However, only one person couldn’t save the whole team, so Lakers had a really disappointing season during 2004 to 2007. After Pau Gasol was exchanged to Lakers during the 2007-2008 season, things began to change. He and Kobe Bryant with other players in Lakers established an extremely new cooperation. Pau caught the rebounds; Kobe shot the balls; Derek controlled the rhythm. Each they worked together toward the championship. Fortunately, they achieved their goal within the superb cooperation. If Lakers’s players remain to play basketball independently, the peak will still be far from them. As we all know, cooperation made Lakers achieve more.

Not only in the sports game, cooperation is also needed in the business issues. Lenovo, the most powerful computer company in China, buyout IBM with 125 million dollars in 2005. Such a big buyout brought Lenovo huge numbers of customers in the US and other countries where the number of Lenovo’s subscribers was considerably little. Two big computer company’s cooperation promotes the techniques of developing PCs and makes their computers more competitive than other computers, so subscribers can have a superb PC. If Lenovo didn’t buyout IBM, it wouldn’t have so many customers in the US so easily and equally IBM would lose the marketing in China.

As the year goes on, I realize cooperation can’t be missed in daily life, although competition is more interesting than it. This question remained a debate, but the answer will change with the circumstance. Personally, I hold my mind to agree with the saying: people achieve more by cooperation.

英语写作(一) 期末考试试题及参考答案

英语写作试题(一) I. Supply the missing paragraph (20 points) The following passage is incomplete with one body paragraph missing. Study the passage carefully and write the missing paragraph in about 100 words. Make sure that your tone and diction are in unity with the passage provided. Attaining Success in College Succeeding in college is not only important to getting and education, but also crucial in this day and age to success in the work place. To me, the three most important things for attaining a successful college experience are having smart classroom conduct, taking advantage of campus resources, and making college the first priority. _______________________________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________________ Making good use of campus resources is also of great importance to college success. The school library has many resources for the growth of the students’ mind. With computers and copy-machines for individual use, computer labs and writing labs are there not just for learning purposes but also for actual help with writing papers. The “office hours” will help the students build a close relationship with their professors and give them access to the professors’ mind. From the professors the students can acquire possible extra information that may put them ahead of their study. All these resources are free, since they are funded by student tuitions. So taking good advantage of the resources can only make the students’ education more attainable. Finally, any students who want to assure success must establish school as the top priority. Personally I have watched some students slowly loosen up; I have seen a pattern of partying and a lack of motivation. Many of the freshmen have no idea why they are in college, and their “eyes” often tell it all. This world is so rich in distractions that it is hard to keep a strong focus, especially if one is just starting his or her academic career. It is said that the first semester is often the most “unsuccessful” one. This certainly rings true for me. I made mistakes in this regard and eventually learned that, to achieve success, school must always be placed above other things. In my college experience, I have observed and learned how to achieve success. I wish someone had told me earlier the importance of having that smart classroom conduct, of fully utilizing the school resources, and of making college my top priority. Then, my college beginnings would not have been so rocky and tough. II. Write an outline (20 points) Read the following passage carefully and compose a “topic outline” for it. Smell Smell, as a means of nonverbal communication, is important. Odor communicates not only when we are face to face with another person, but also when the other personis not present. People from different cultures may have different attitudes toward body odors. Most people in the West respond negatively to what they consider bad odors such as body odor, breath odor, or

(一)1.目前金融危机正深深地影响到社会的方方面面 2. 人们对如何应对金融危机的不同看法 3. 你的看法 The Impact of Financial Crisis Presently, international financial crisis is becoming more and more serious, which has been influencing every part of our daily life. Job hunting is increasingly becoming difficult; food is getting more expensive; and people’s everyday living is much harder than before etc. As to how to deal with the crisis, people have different opinions. Some people hold a more positive view, who believe that the present crisis is not very serious, and we can overcome it in just a few years with the micro-control policy of our government. With the help of the government, living expenses will soon slow down. Things will get better, and we needn’t worry too much. But some other people take an opposite side. They believe that things are the other way round, and the present crisis is getting worse and worse. This crisis is worldwide and cannot be solved in a few years. People’s everyday life will become much harder. As for me, I have strongly felt the full negative impact this crisis has brought on me. Food in the supermarket is more expensive than that in the last few months; everyday expenses are getting higher. However, I don’t think this crisis is beyond control. I firmly believe that with the right policy of our government this crisis cannot outdo us. we should face this crisis calmly and do things with a more practical mind. (2)1.刚参加工作时遇到了哪些困难。 2.产生这些困难的原因。 3.如何克服这些困难。 The Problems I Had When I First Started to Work When I first started my work in an electronic company, I did meet with many problems. Two main problems are: I did not know how to conduct business with clients and customers and I had no idea about how to deal with a bargain and persuade them to take my offer. The second problem was that there was no room for me and I had to find a room far away from the company. It took me more than one hour on the way to the office and then came back. The reason for the first problem was that I had no practical experience and I needed to learn and practice. As for the second problem the company could not take care of every employee’s housing. And it was our responsibility to look after ourselves. To overcome these problems, I worked hard and learne d from any one modestly. After half year’s work I became experienced and began to make money. So I was able to rent a single apartment near my company. Now everything is all right to me. (3)1.合作的意义。 2.合作在工作中的重要性(举例)。 3.怎样培养合作的能力? The cooperation Cooperation means that people should work together smoothly for the purpose of mutual benefit. In the work they should help each other and learn from each other. They should have mutual respect, too. Cooperation is important in our work. Without it, we will fail. For example, two years ago, our institute managed to get a joint research project with a university in the south of China. At first everything went on all right. Then there was a misunderstanding and argument. Finally, the cooperation could not continue and the project failed. This example can show the importance of cooperation. I believe there are more examples. I think people should start to cultivate their sense of cooperation when they are very young. For example, in primary schools, pupils should be taught how to play with others, and how to study together. At university, students should be told frequently that in today’s world, individual is impossible to make big achievements, and they have to work or conduct research with others. Besides, they should be given a chance for team work. Then I think that people will be able to cooperate well with others.
