About a decade ago, university students could find satisfactory and enviable jobs after graduation. But now, things are different. In recent years, college graduates, especially female college graduates find it increasingly difficult to get a decent job.

Then what underlies （导致）the strange phenomenon? First, graduates lack experience. They spend most of their time studying academic subjects at school. Only after graduation do they realize it's hard to find jobs. On the other hand, college students aim too high. All they want are jobs which could offer decent salaries, comfortable working conditions and high social status. Consequently, most college students would rather stay at home doing nothing and waiting for their ideal jobs. Another reason is that many colleges and universities fail to adjust their programs to the rapid development of society. For the past few years, it's getting more and more difficult for college graduates to hunt a job. Several factors contribute to the problem.

First, the so called "top students " sometimes are very slow in solving practical problems. They are often called bookworms（书虫，书呆子）. What's more, as they are young, they do not have much experience. Employers pay the very small sum of money keeping a young employee in a job. In other words, the young people have to wait for their abilities to be acknowledged and rewarded in due course and it may be ten or twenty years later when the young will be considered old enough to be rewarded properly.

Second, young adults always have a high self-assessment. They are ambitious, expecting a good salary and comfortable working environment. Therefore, some of them give up the opportunity once they are not satisfied with the job.

Last, because of the increment of college enrollment, the competition among college graduates is intense, although the expansion does meet people's growing need for higher education.

To solve the problem, for schools, examinations should not only encourage students to get good grades but also improve the students' sense of competition which prepares them well to enter the society. The government should also take effective measures like creating more job vacancies and organizing various training programs for college graduates.

Companies should reward young people according to ability instead of age and experience. If the youth are able, determined and hardworking, they surely deserve good salaries. The managers should recognize their ability and reward them in a fair way.

Of course, the graduates should know that it's no use just waiting or complaining. As for us college students, doing a part time job is a nice choice. On the one hand, it enables students to accumulate practical experiences. On the other hand, it can be a good way for students to get out of the ivory tower and learn about the society.

3. College Graduates’ Job Hunting

Along with the advance of education, there arises another tough problem-more and more college graduates are faced with difficulties in job-hunting. On the one hand, the market could not be so satisfied with their employees, and on the other hand, the graduates probably failed to enter ideal companies. Then what causes problems in graduates' job hunting after all?

As far as I am concerned, the causes are complicated. The market and the employees may hardly get along with each other so well. To give an example, graduates pay too much for their education including both time, effort and money, therefore most of them may have extremely high expectation on their salaries and working conditions. Absolutely, corporations would not agree on their requirements. In addition. Compared with those with higher diplomas such as Master and Doctor degrees, or those graduating from famous colleges, lots of graduates completely lose their advantage. With time going by, what used to be a guarantee of safety and stability of life has recently turned into a useless condition for job hunting. Is a bachelor's degree enough for a job? I indeed don't think so.

It is universally known that college graduates are facing a lot of pressure when they hunt for a job. And the number of college graduates is in a dramatic increase, making the market competition more vigorous. Since many companies hope to recruit the employees who have much experience as well as higher degrees in relevant specialties, it is quite usual that a group of graduates have to strive for merely one vacant position, thus leading to more drastic competition among graduates. Nevertheless, for girls, they are confronted with much more stress than boys. Compared with boys, girls usually have to spend much more time in the family. When career and family conflict, girls mostly will turn to their family and put their careers in the second place.

Certainly life is just like a road full of intersections, we all have to make choices. But it is usually the case that when boys and girls are trapped in the same dilemma between career and family, boys could choose the former while girls have to choose the latter. That's why in most cases employers prefer boys rather than girls.

We have announced that women are equal to men almost a century ago. Although there's still unfairness, circumstances are being far better than before. Should girls just live with all of this? No, I'm sure that we can do a lot to change the situation. First, strive to improve our personal qualities and equip ourselves with self-esteem and self-confidence. Second, the executives of companies should get over the gender prejudice in recruitment. Third, the country should provide more vacancies which are suitable for girls.

To deal with the issue, there will be a long and difficult way to go. But I still have great faith in it: tomorrow will be better.

In recent years, more and more female college graduates find it quite difficult to find a satisfactory job.

There are a great variety of reasons for this problem. Fisrtly, because the number of the graduates is going up rapidly, the balance between the graduates and the jobs has been broken. Also, the expectation of most female college graduates is too high. They do not want to take a job with a low salary. Besides, the qualification that those graduates have is another reason. Nobody is willing to employ a person whose qualification doesn't reach the requirements of the company.
