常有人说，之所以有完美，是因为在恰当的时间，遇到了恰当的人，做了恰当的事情。学习英语也一样，在合适的时间，选对了材料，找到了适合的方法，就快速的提高了自己的能力。我想介绍给大家的是一天中的几个时间点。

所谓的时间点，也并不是要大家真的就按照我说的时间去安排，而是笼统的作业时间框架，如在每天的6点钟，准时站在窗前，开口练习阅读，这个习惯通常被我们称之为"晨读"，其最大的好处是可以强化你的口语流利度和语感，同时也在朗读的时候记忆了词汇和表达。这个方法适用于任何人，尤其"懒人"，不喜欢背单词，不喜欢做题，也不喜欢写作文，那就只读读课文吧，只要坚持就一定有效。第二个点是早上上班或上学的路上，以及晚上回家的路上，我们可以随身带着听力资料，在公交车或地铁上听听一切与英语相关的东西，单词、文章、歌曲或者演讲，随意的听听，但建议要选好的耳机，而且不适合太长时间，否则对耳朵不是太好。

接下来是上午和下午的学习时间点，其实每个人都有自己精力最集中的一段时间，我呢，就是每天晚上，夜深人静的时候，做做阅读题，听听听力，或者看个书什么的，是最容易吸收和理解的了，大家不妨想想自己什么时间精力比较集中，利用这个时间来学习一些你认为比较难的，如阅读听力题，作文，背单词等等，说到背单词，这可是很多同学最头疼的了，我倒是要建议大家，不要死记硬背，可以多看，所谓的看，就是要用眼和脑，而不是用手一遍又一遍的抄写，我常看到很多同学把单词抄上几十甚至上百遍，也最终没有记得住。其实背单词，分几个步骤，掌握读音、学会拼写、掌握汉语和英语的解释、理解同义词和反义词、相关短语和例句可以熟练应用。这才是真正的掌握了单词。

Many of the leading businessmen of Pittsburgh had a serious responsibility thrust upon them at the very threshold of their business lives sweeping out of the office. I notice we have janitors and janitresses now in offices, and our young men unfortunately miss that salutary branch of business education. But if by chance the professional sweeper is absent any morning, the boy who has the genius of the future partner in him will not hesitate to try his hand at the broom. It does not hurt the newest comer to sweep out the office if necessary. I was one of those sweepers myself. Assuming that you have all obtained employment and are fairly start ed, my advice to you is “aim high”. I would not give a fig for the young man who does not already see himself the partner or the head of an important firm. Do not rest content for a moment in your thoughts as head clerk, or foreman, or general manager in any concern, no matter how extensive. Say to yourself, “my place is at the top”. Be king in your dreams. And there is the prime condition of success, the great secret: concentrate your energy, thought, and capital exclusively upon the business in which you are engaged. Having begun in one line, resolve to fight it out on the line, to lead in it, adopt every improvement, have the best machinery, and know the most about it. The concerns which fail are those which have scattered their capital, which means that they have scattered their brains also. They have investments in this, or that, or the other, here, there, and everywhere. “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.” is all wrong. I tell you to “put all your eggs in one basket, and then watch that basket.” Look round you and take notice, men who do that not often fail. It is easy to watch and carry too many baskets that break most eggs in this country. He who carries three baskets must put one on his head, which is apt to tumble and trip him up.
