(一) 语言知识点
1. Many students ask for advice about how to improve their English.
许多学生询问关于怎样提高英语的建议。
advice意为“建议”，是不可数名词。ask for .... 表示“请求（给予）……”。短语ask for advice意为“询问建议”，还有ask for help“寻求帮助；请求帮助”。

※注意区别另一个表示“建议”的动词suggest，其结构是“suggest + 句子(从句谓语动词用原形)”。例如：I suggest you write four or five words a day on pieces of paper and place them in your room.

这个句子中suggest后面接从句，从句谓语动词write和place都采用原形。
3. I’m afraid to speak to her. 我害怕跟她说话。
