1.raining下雨

【重点注释】rain在这里是动词,意为“下雨”,raining是动词rain的现在分词(v.ing形式)。例如:It often rains in summer.夏天经常下雨。It is raining outside.外面正在下雨。

2.How’s the weather in Shanghai?上海的天气怎么样?

【重点注释】①⑴How is the weather?意为“天气怎么样?”,是用来询问天气状况的常用句型,还可以用What’s the weather like?(此处How…=What…like)。

⑵How is the weather?的回答句型,常常是It’s+adj.(形容词),描述天气状况。

⑶如果要表示“某地的天气”,常用介词短语“in+某地”,地点放在weather后作后置定语,修饰名词weather。the weather in Rizhao日照的天气;the weather here 这儿的天气。⑷如果要表示“某个时候的天气”,也常用介词短语“(in/on)+时间”,放在weather后修饰weather。the weather today今天的天气;the weather in winter冬天的天气;the weather on May1st五一的天气。例如:⑴——How’s the weather in Beijing?(=What’s the weather like in Beijing?)北京的天气怎么样?——It’s cloudy.多云。⑵——How is the weather on Sunday?周一的天气怎么样?——It’s windy.有风。⑶——How’s the weather here in summer?这儿夏天的天气怎么样?——It’s hot.天气很热。

②weather不可数名词,意为“天气”,前面不能用不定冠词a/an。其同音异形词是whether(是否)。fine weather晴天;cloudy weather阴天;weather forecast天气预报;What bad weather!多么糟糕的天气啊!([注意]该句不能说What a bad weather!)What fine weather we are having today!今天的天气多么晴朗啊!What

3.It’s cloudy.多云。

【重点注释】①it是代词,在本句中作主语,指“天气”。it 在句中作主语,表示时间、天气、季节、距离等。应注意的是,it在句中有时不需要译成中文,可根据上下文去理解和翻译。例如:It’s cold today.今天很冷。(天气)It’s too cold to play outside.在外面玩太冷了。(天气)What time is it now?现在几点了?(时间)It’s time for us to go to school.到了上学的时间了。(时间)It’s about 5 kilometres from my home to school.从我家到学校大约5千米。(距离)It is only half an hour’s walk from my home to the school.只有半小时的路程就可以到达学校了。(距离)It was winter then.那时是冬天。(季节)

【重点注释】①How’s it going?是由疑问副词how引出的问候句型,是询问对方处境或事情进展如何的习惯用语,相当于汉语中的“近况如何?”“一切还好吗?”“一切顺利吗?”,后面可跟介词短语with sb./sth.,可与How is everything(情况如何?)?以及How is everything going with you(你一切情况如何?)?互换。例如:How’s it going with Mary’s study?玛丽的学习情况最近怎么样?

②Not bad,thanks.是对How’s it going?句型的回答。Not bad是口语中常用的表达,也可用作Not so bad./Not too bad.等,其主要用法有:1)用来回答像How are you?这类询问身体健康状况的问候语,意为“不错;还行”。例如:——How are you today?你今天感觉如何?——Not bad.还不错。2)用来含蓄地表示quite/very good 这一意义,意为“很好;不错;还好”。例如:——How is your English?你英语学得怎样?——Not bad.还好。——What do you think of the film?你觉得这部电影怎么样?——Not bad.不错。
